Hi, I'm dhobo and I am a 3C gamer. That is, a collector, a completionist, and Canadian!

Short and easy puzzle game that could be played absentmindedly while I was chit-chatting with friends online. Only times I seemed to get briefly stuck where when I was overthinking the puzzles, as they were almost all very straightforward.
Anguirus is such a pile of poop. I am getting this garbage kaiju's goals done first so the rest of the game can be enjoyable again.
Been meaning to add this to my playthroughs and fill out the goals since I play it off and on casually. Finally got around to it today.
That doesn't bode well.
Game was pretty fun but I found it ended on a bit of a sour note. The 6th (and final, ignoring the bonus level) chapter's theme was pretty obnoxious and nowhere near as fun as all the physics based stuff in previous chapters.
The bonus level made me laugh when I realized what they were doing even if it was pretty janky to play.
Finished the game. Enjoyed it quite a bit, despite it feeling pretty rough design-wise plenty of times. Still have a lot of side missions to do and with all the DLC being rolled out along with updates, I feel like this will be a part-time game for now so I can mark this as completionated when they're done updating.
Looks like I'll need to push along my main storyline progress again. The latest timed hunt requires me to be at Chapter 15 (I'm sitting at 13 currently.)
What a stupid and arbitrary requirement for time-limited content.
Done and done! I really enjoyed the puzzles, the optional challenge was frustrating because I hate being timed as I prefer playing puzzle games more casually. Eventually got it though.
The narrative in this game was crap. Even supported by a few "bonus" audio logs to try and fill in a semblance of a story did nothing to help it along. I would have preferred this game had nothing but puzzles and a pretty environment over what was given.
My rating in the end is a 6/10. If they cut out the pretentious crap entirely, or had a good narrative, this would have been at least an 8/10.
Put my FFXV playthrough on hold this weekend to jump into a puzzle game. I hate leaving a game undone (even if only temporarily) but I had such a huge hankering for puzzles that I figured the heck with it.
The Witness is a very pretty game. Wish it had more of a narrative as you went through it along the lines of the Talos Principle instead of random pretentious philosophical recordings scattered about. There's a metric buttload of puzzles to solve and more to find that are hidden everywhere, so I'm having fun!
Been a bit sidetracked lately playing this game instead of working on GTA IV's expansions. I felt like my hand was forced when they released time-limited content in a single player game because I don't like missing stuff.
There's more time-limited content starting later this month too. Feels bad man.
At least the game itself is a lot of fun!
Another game scratched off the list. Huzzah!
Back to this great game! Time to hit up the Lisa the Joyful DLC and it's various endings. Should be three relatively quick play-throughs total since this is both shorter and more linear than the main game was.
Just found out there was an entire section of content cut out of this game and held hostage unless you pre-ordered the game and received a code to activate it. There are no other ways to get this content either as a separate DLC. Shameful behaviour by the folks who put this out there. Really dampens my opinion of this otherwise great game.
DONE! I broke the game so badly on my final run to snag the last few nagging collection items I needed. I was worried my ps4 was going to crash from the insane sprite effects spam I was creating. Game turned into a slide show regularly! Was absolutely hilarious.
Finished up my runs with The Lost, all I've got left are to hit up the various objectives with Keeper and I am allllll done with this game! 1-2 evenings left at most, I hope!
Oh boy do I feel dumb. There's an unlock mechanic for earning the last playable character from Greed mode that I thought was rather brutally unfair. I was grinding away at it all weekend making very little headway. Then I discovered all I had to do was change characters and the progression sped up significantly... the mechanic was designed to punish people who stuck to only one or two characters to "farm" progress like I was doing. Wasted a good 5-6 hours. Ouch.
Azazel, Lazarus, and Eden all complete over the weekend and a solid chunk of Lilith's objectives done as well. 2.5 characters left!
Finished off all 9 objectives with Samson last night and got about half of Azazel's taken care of. Azazel should go fast if RNG doesn't hate me, since he's OP as heck. Only 5/13 characters left!
I really wanted to finish off my Binding of Isaac completionating before I got into this, but I gave into temptation last night. Really impressed and enjoying it bigly so far.
Put in five hours on Sunday and managed to accomplish absolutely NOTHING.
The RNG in this game hates me sometimes.
Oh man. I totally forgot this game has a ton of in-game achievements! Time to flood/update my goals accordingly (sorry!)
Just finished up all 9 symbols on Hard for Magdaline. Arrived at the chest with one measly soul heart, but still managed to kill Mega Satan! Damn near had a heart attack I was so stressed.
Greed mode is so freaking fun.
Feed flooding complete, now I'm caught up on where I left off with this game. :P
Stress Test Success: Adding 276 goals to this playthrough did not break completionator! It may have broken me a little on the inside though.
Casual time! Jumped back into a game I left in limbo a while back. Love these LEGO games!
I'm having a Lisa overload today. Time for my third run! (gotta see all those endings)
Killed the optional superboss on my first try this playthrough! Stunlocks + lotsa luck ftw!
Sorry about the goal spam! I decided to stop being lazy and track this game properly to see it on my shiny new Profile page. :D
Finally got around to completing this bounty. This game would have been so much better if they hadn't gone with the annoying weapon degrade drops.
The latest Humble Indie Bundle is absolutely MINT
You know the temperatures are awful when they manage to dissuade me from playing video games... Hopefully it's a bit cooler tonight and I can get this done! (39 unique stunts left!)
Finished the game tonight, got the platinum trophy on ps4 too!
Still not done though, gotta get those unique jumps before I can claim a proper 100% completion of this game. Ought to be done tomorrow if time allows.
Finally getting down to the last of the tasks for "true" 100% completion. It has been such a long slog. I like San Andreas, but boy am I tired of this game due to the sheer amount of optional content.
- 25 main storyline missions to go
- 67 unique jumps left to do
- 2 girls left to date to 100%
- A few weapons to train to hitman
- Recapture remaining gang territories
- Max out gambling skill (last non-weapon skill that needs topping off!)
- Buy remaining clothing options from Didier Sachs
Saw the dev giving away 50,000 keys on their site, snagged one without even knowing what this game is, haha.
Looks like some kind of match three deal maybe? Whatever it is, it's free! :P
Picked this up because I wanted a simple puzzle game to chill out with during downtime. Ended up plowing through it completely in very short time. Very relaxing game, glad I picked up the followups for later :D
Decided to take a shot with the Humble Monthly. We'll see how many repeats I get when they reveal the rest of the month's games!
My birthday gift to myself this year (50% off at chrono.gg right now)
I swear I didn't buy this for myself. It was a joke bday gift from a friend! (who also got me Grandia II Anniversary!!)
Just noticed this game had achievements added to it since I last completionated it. Will have to replay to earn those now!
Mission #2 in the bag! Fun little game this was :D
