I don't know who here uses IFTTT (If This, Then That). I do, and the one item I have found it continually useful for is alerting me when there are free items available on GOG or Steam, by scanning the GameDeals subreddit for terms that fit. Various people have made alerts that come by email, phone notifications, etc. For mine, I send them to PushBullet, which means they show up on all my devices, don't clutter up my already hectic email, and are available if I accidentally skip a notification. YMMV, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

IFTTT.com is the main site, and if anyone wants to use the same one I do or use it as a base (you can change how the notification comes, for example), you can find it here:
https://ifttt.com/applets/51849334d-push-links-to-free-games-on-gog-or-steam-posted-to-r-gamedeals

No monies were involved, and I don't work for IFTTT or PushBullet, I am just on an automation kick right now and figured I would share. :-)

Looks neat. How does it compare to say, regularly checking out /r/gamedeals on reddit? You catch anything that may have slipped through the cracks there with this?

Personally, I use it because I was regularly forgetting to check gamedeals directly, but the best part of this is that it alerts you immediately upon the post being put up, so if the deal is limited in time or quantity, it improves your chances of making use of it successfully.
