Description

Here are the Mario Bros. games I've beaten in my lifetime and the estimated number of times I've beaten each version. This is in the order of when I first beat each game (from what I can remember). I will add to this if I ever come across more Mario games and beat them.

Mario Bros.

My first non-Donkey Kong encounter I had with Mario was on the Atari. I don't think you can actually beat this game but I got high enough scores to say I have gotten through the point of the game.

Super Mario Bros.

I'm fairly certain that I have beat the NES Super Mario Bros at least 100 times. When I was a kid I challenged myself to beat this game 100 times one school year. I remember giving my friends updates every day on the bus letting them know how much closer I got to 100. (I was a bored kid)

Super Mario Bros. 2

I beat this game once as a kid and once recently for a bounty. I'm more proud of my recent completion since I didn't use any warp zones.

Super Mario Bros. 3

One of the most wanted Mario games of all time. I remember being so jealous of my friends that had this game. I don't remember how I obtained a copy but when I did, I played the crap out of it. I have beat this game several times over time including because of a recent bounty. This will always be a classic.

Super Mario World

I have beaten this one several times as well. Again, I can't remember how I obtained a copy of this game (old age memory loss) but I got around to beating it a few times, including a recent bounty.

Super Mario 64

One of the first games I got with my N64 was Mario 64. It was the greatest game since Mario 3 in my opinion. Another game I played the crap out of and beaten a few times. I'm not sure if I've ever gotten all 120 stars but I would like to try and accomplish that sometime soon.

Luigi's Mansion

So this isn't starring Mario like the others but he's still one of the Bros. Beat this twice, once due to a bounty.

Super Mario Sunshine

Mario Sunshine was another great addition to the Mario franchise. I remember this one being one of the harder non-platform Mario's out there. Because of that difficulty, I have only beaten this one once.

Super Mario Galaxy

Another great game that made me dizzy trying to figure out how to operate Mario while upside down. This one has been beaten twice.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

This was just as fun as Galaxy 1. This one has also been beaten twice.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

I was so happy to see another platform style Mario come to the Wii and the first platform on a main console since the SNES (that I know of). I have beaten this one at least once.

New Super Mario Bros. U

I was stoked when I saw that a new platform Mario was coming to the new Wii U. I beat this one once and would love to get around to playing it again soon.

Super Mario 3D World

I wasn't sure what to expect out of this game when I got it, but Mario hasn't failed me up to this point so I gave it a try and again I was pleased. In a way it reminds me of the Mario Sunshine days. I really enjoyed it and I have beaten this one time.

Super Mario 3D Land

I picked this game up for my son (and me) a few years ago for his 3DS and I ended up beating it a few months ago. This was just as fun as the Wii U version. This one has been beaten once.

Super Mario Land

I played this off and on over the years. I remember playing this over at my friends house. Again I was jealous he had a Game Boy and I didn't. I picked this up in the E-Shop for free with Nintendo Rewards and I finally beat the game a few months ago.

New Super Mario Bros. 2

Another game that we got for our son that I got around to beating. This was fun like the other New Mario Bros and I really liked the challenges and the tallying of the total amount of coins you've collected while playing the game. Beat this the first and only time a few months ago.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins

Another game that I've played several times over the years but finally beat while on vacation about a month ago.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Another one starring Luigi that I beat just a few weeks ago. I don't think it was as good as the original Luigi's Mansion but it was still fun.

Super Mario Odyssey

Many say Super Mario Odyssey is the best Mario ever and I have to say it's very close. The only thing that's keeping me from saying that is the fact that Mario Odyssey's difficulty is rather low compared to Mario 64. Anyway this game is great and I really enjoyed getting through the main story in 16.5 hours. I'm wondering how long it will take me to collect the 1000 moons.
