Description

This includes both beaten and completed games

4

Hexcells Plus

Completed Hexcells Plus today!

Unfortunately I gained so many more games this month. I bothered to count and it’s at least 12. :( And I’m debating activating Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. I’ve yet to truly play a FPS so I wonder if that would be a good start. I also really want to buy Rocket League? It’s the worst idea for my backlog but I think it might be fun. I can’t decide.

the backlog is winning.

5

Hexcells Infinite

I finished Hexcells Infinite today. I did love the Hexcells series but after playing all 3 games in a row I think I’m done for a while. I might pick up Infinite again some time later but for now I’m going to uninstall it.

I really wish I spent less time playing MMORPG’s. I would be doing much better with my backlog if I did.

Where Is My Heart?

Well the past two nights I completed 4 short games with achievement. (Morphopolis, Labyrinthine Dreams, Rogus: Kingdom of The Lost Souls and Where Is My Heart?) I wanted to feel accomplished or something. I’m grateful to asats usefulness for finding such games. :)

10

My Name Is Mayo

It’s probably not worth the update but I finished ‘My Name is Mayo’ today. Mostly for the achievements, but I do rather like mayonnaise so it wasn’t terrible.

11

Plush

I also went back and got the 3 missing achievements from Plush today, so now that is 100% as well. That was a SteamGift wins, so extra yay!

12

TransPlan

I did 100% TransPlan today. It was a game I won from Reddit actually.

13

Loot Hero DX

I beat Loot Hero DX earlier today. It was suuuch a grind to get to 100% achievements. It was kind of nice though to be honest, I did it while I was watching Twitch/Netflix and I can’t usually play games while I watch stuff. I would love to play a deeper game similar to that. There’s one on mobile I played a long time ago that is similar. I think it’s called MinuteQuest. A game like that on steam would be perfect for me. Clickers are close but for some reason to me they are more boring in comparison. I think I like the visualization of actually moving around instead of it being static like a clicker. Oh well, maybe I’ll get back into playing idle clickers.

One Finger Death Punch

I’m going to consider One Finger Death Punch finished today. I beat the first story difficulty mode and unlocked each survival mode. I would probably like to play more, but this game is really hard on my hand so I’m going to call it quits here. I’m happy to have played it as much as I did, since it was a lot of fun! 46% of achievements isn’t awful. :)

Garshasp: The Monster Slayer

Today I beat Garshasp: The Monster Slayer. It took 4.3 hours for one playthrough. I’m not going to bother getting 100% achievements because it requires at minimum 2 more full playhroughs and I really can’t be bothered. I did have fun, even though the controls and camera were super frustrating at times. I think the game was silly and good, but I do see why it has mixed reviews.

I’m not entirely sure where I got this game. I must assume from a bundle lol. I played it because I used steamcompletionist to pick a random game for me. I’ve tried that a few times before but this is the first time I’ve actually beaten a randomly chosen game from my library. Yay! I think I’ll try it again.

Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed

Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed completed today. I can’t say it was a part of my backlog because it was just released on steam a few days ago and I bought it as soon as I could. But it’s what I’ve been playing and I got 100% achievements today!

I don’t actually recommend it. It’s maybe the grindiest game I’ve ever played?? Probably not but it felt like it. It’s probably better if you’re not concerned with achievements, but then the game is too short for the price imo. I finished the story after about 10 hours. 100% achievements took 35 hrs total. I played while watching Netflix though. The game is really easy and pretty much combat is always the same. It’s hard to recommend but it suit me pretty well.

Tomb Raider (2013)

So yesterday I beat Tomb Raider (2013). The lovely charming Tumalu added this to my backlog last week. :P I decided to play it right away! It was so good; it was my first Tomb Raider game. I’d heard some people are slightly disappointed in this one but only because they’re comparing it to other games. So I’m really glad I got to play. <3

I might do another play through one day for 100% in game completion and more achievements. The multiplayer achievements mean I will never 100% the game, so playing again isn’t a high priority though.

Portal 2

Today I completed Portal 2. This was an SG win from our very own tso184! :D I played the first Portal way long ago on a long lost steam account when it was given away for free. So the opportunity to play the second was amazing.

I’m not sure why but I was waiting to finish the multiplayer campaign before I played the single player campaign. I finally had time with a friend to finish it a few days ago! And then I beat the single player in two days. I probably should have played the singleplayer first for story reasons but I’m sure it’s fine.

I didn’t know Cave Johnson was from Portal though. I’d heard his quotes and stuff but I would have never guessed he was from Portal. The story is so fantastic. It’s like I need more though. I think there’s some comics I need to read. Portal 3 please.

19

The Flower Shop: Winter in Fairbrook

I won Flower Shop: Winter In Fairbrook on SG ageeees ago. I tried it awhile ago but I couldn’t figure out how to skip text so I gave up. This time I learned this it is apparently common knowledge to skip text with ctrl in visual novels. I beg to differ! but at least I know now. :) I got all the achievements but I only read the beginning and then started to skip because the story didn’t really interest me. Growing flowers was nice.

20

Soul Gambler

The story in Soul Gambler was really good. I also really enjoyed the comic book art style. I didn’t plan the achievements very well though, so it took me more playthroughs than I would like to admit to get all of them. I had a good time in the beginning though so I think it was worth it.

21

Toren

I won this on SG last month. Beating SG wins feel the best. <3
I have no idea if I actually enjoyed Toren. I mean the art and graphics were really nice. The main character has a really nice design as well. But the controls were awful, and one of the last levels felt like actual hell. Overall I think it was good, but I’m glad it was short. Kind of. Even though it was so short I felt like a lot of the time I was doing nothing at all. Either because I’m waiting in a cut scene that takes way too long, or I’m running back because I died due to an invisible wall making me run the wrong way or I’m having a hell of a time figuring out where to go because of the incredibly limited camera control. The story was interesting though. I don’t know. The game was okay.

23

Hatoful Boyfriend

I finished Hatoful Boyfriend for the monthly theme! Also does anyone know if family shared games count for the month? I count them as part of my backlog, and my profile will show progress for some time, but it’s not counted as progress on this site so I’m not sure.

Just wow. Hatoful Boyfriend was quite a bit more than I expected. I wasn’t really impressed until I unlocked the “true ending.” It was just amazing though. I completely lost track of time playing this. Like I swear it was just 11pm, and now it’s 4am. I didn’t think I spent that much time at all! The story was really engrossing in the ending haha. I would recommend it :)

This was also my 40th perfect game. Go me! Aaaand a 10 day achievement streak on TSA. Go me!

Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior

I finished Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior recently. OMG this game was so much better than I expected. For some reason when my friend told me about Viscera Cleanup Detail I kind of dismissed it as uninteresting. But it’s hilarious and so much fun! I can’t wait to play the other two <3 It also made me wish I owned Shadow Warrior. I gave it away before when my PC couldn’t run it, but now I’ve got a new PC so I need to get my hands on it again.

25

Grey Cubes

I also got 100% achievements in Grey Cubes. It was like a game I used to play everyday in elementary school. It was super popular in my class. Grey Cubes lives up to it’s name with the dull colour scheme though. Not awful but not exciting at all to look at. :P I enjoyed my time playing it.

26

Hero of the Kingdom

Just finished 100% achievements in Hero of the Kingdom as well. Last night I had decided to give up when I was still missing 8 achievements. But I considered again today and spent another hour to get the rest. I think it took me longer than most to get 100% but I’d never played a hidden object before. It was kind of boring to me but I’ll play the second one anyway lol.

29

Hero of the Kingdom II

I went ahead and beat Hero of the Kingdom II shortly after completing the first one. The second was a bit more enjoyable than the first. Possibly because the story seemed more interesting in my opinion. This series did convince me that I’m not into the hidden object genre though.

Little Inferno

I also finished off Little Inferno and completed all the combos. I had to look up hints for a few though, because there was references I didn’t get by myself. This was sooo relaxing, and I loved it! I played it late at night when I was too sleepy to play anything serious but wasn’t ready to sleep yet for various reasons. :P I love games like these that are easy to multitask with. Too bad no achieves.

The Walking Dead

I finished The Walking Dead with 100% achieves today. I had to grab the DLC off tremor just for achieves. :P
I didn’t actually realize I spent 15 hours playing this. It felt like a lot less. I’m really glad I tried this game though. I hesitated because I didn’t get very far in the show since it was a bit too intense for me. But I wanted to try anyway because The Wolf Among Us was sooo good. I adore how Telltale can make it feel like your choices matter. It feels really great.
The game was still kinda intense. People are so much scarier than walkers. Plus a few jump scares got me real good. I made it through though, and I really enjoyed this game! I’m hoping I get the chance to try Season 2 as well one day.

200% Mixed Juice!

I beat 200% Mixed Juice with 100% achieves the other day. I was so happy to see it bundled since I’d been wanting to play since release. It was simpler than I expected, but I had a good time playing.
I kind of embarrassed myself afterwards though. The combat system is similar to Pokemon where there is 3 types of attacks and each is strong and weak to the other types. It’s like rock paper scissors. Well I started playing and I couldn’t remember which type of attack was strong against which, so I drew this diagram.

http://i.imgur.com/AgsSOiI.png

I had no idea AT ALL that it was literally rock paper scissors. I had that picture open the whole time I was playing, and I even drew it myself. The whole time it never occurred to me it was anything like rock paper scissors, let alone literally. My friend was confused why I had to draw the picture and it was like an “oh!” moment when I realized. I feel embarrassed about it. LOL

34

SquareCells

I beat SquareCells with 100% achieves. It seemed a lot easier than I remember Hexcells being. Then again, I imagine the first Hexcells game was pretty easy too. So I’m really hoping for a Squarecells Plus and Infinite! That would be great. Especially Infinite. I play Picross almost every day on my phone, so an endless PC game like it would be amazing. I fear many hours would be lost though. Not good for the backlog!

35

The Sparkle Zero

I also beat Sparkle ZERO yesterday. I gotta be honest and say I have no idea why this is even a game. I REALLY enjoyed Sparkle 2 Evo. Like really really. But this release is simply terrible. It feels like some demo for a Sparkle game with none of the mechanics at all. It was so boring in everything. Evolution went from being a choice to no choice and just RNG visual changes. No quests; no danger. There wasn’t even any colour. I got all the achieves anyway but it was just really bad. But I did start playing Sparkle 3 Genesis and it’s perfect so that’s good.

36

Sparkle 3: Genesis

I finished Sparkle 3 Genesis with 100% achieves! Looking at the times, I think this game might be shorter to beat than Sparkle 2 Evo. Except they added some grindy and some difficult achievements to 3 so it took a few hours longer to 100%. I think this isn’t bad. I enjoyed 3 as much as I enjoyed 2. I like to listen to podcasts while I play games and games like these are so perfect for that. I’ll have to try Osmos soon too. It’s been in my library forever. These games seem hard to recommend since I guess they’re fairly niche? But if they appeal to you at all you should try out Sparkle 2 or 3! :3

37

Particula

Particula was an old SteamGifts win that I wasn’t really interested in playing (from the old days when I joined every giveaway with good odds :P) but I decided to give it a shot. I was right and it was really boring. I played and won a few rounds on varying difficulties and considered that enough to call it beaten. The idea of tower defense games appeals to me but I never really find them fun to play.

The Howler

I played The Howler too because of ShandyAndy’s post about it. It was alright. Overall I was glad it was short because the slow gameplay of it was making me tired of the game. I can see why it would be better if you didn’t play it all at once but it wasn’t bad. The art was nice to look at. :)

39

Train of Afterlife

Then I played the visual novel Train of Afterlife. I think it bugged out on me though. Otherwise nothing really made sense. I gave up after unlocking 2 of the endings but one was successful so I will consider it beat.

40

Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus

Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus was actually a huge surprise. I won this at the same time as Particula and based on the reviews I had decided I didn’t really want to play this. I’m glad I did though! The story was stupid but it was on purpose and I liked it. I struggled in the beginning with the controls and I can see that as a place where people give up. I got used to them quickly though and really enjoyed the game! I went through it twice. I believe the rest of the achievements require multiplayer or skill that I don’t have so I’m considering this one beat. I don’t think I would mind playing multiplayer one day but I figure something like Castle Crashers might be more fun to play instead.

41

Last Knight: Rogue Rider Edition

I went through and beat the story mode of Last Knight: Rogue Rider Edition. I didn’t like it at all. The only part that was fun was the boss battle at the ending but the rest of the game I was kind of miserable. I don’t mind endless runners on my phone but I hated this one. I think it was because of how the path turned. It was annoying and visually looked awful. But I beat the story mode so yup another game beat! :P

42

Stray Cat Crossing

I won Stray Cat Crossing on SG last week and beat it in 3 hours tonight. I have no interest in the majority on RPGMaker games but this one caught my attention. I was really drawn to the art style and main character so I thought I’d like to give it a try even though horror is also not really my thing.
The game was good. I wouldn’t call it fun and I almost gave up at this puzzle at the end that I was struggling with. (It turned out I was like 99% done and just missed the final room LOL) I think the message was good and it was really nice to look at the whole time. I’m impressed by the game!

43

Caravanserail

I won Caravanserail on SG today and also beat it today. It is a cute game but I don’t really see why they didn’t add more content. I beat it in 40 minutes and don’t see much reason for replayability. Also waaaaay too much clicking. My poor hand! Other than that I don’t have much to say about it. Not really recommended but I wouldn’t say it’s bad or a waste of time or anything. I guess it’s a good way to spend a spare hour, maybe?

44

Solar Flux

The end of the month came way sooner than I expected, and I realized yesterday I hadn’t beat any space games yet. I was asking around for a good short one I could beat and Douglas mentioned Solar Flux. So I played half of it yesterday and finished the other half today! I think it’s a good game. The control of the ship took me a while to get used to but after that that game gets a lot easier. The achievements seem really difficult though and I’m still not quite sure if I’m going to keep trying for them.

45

Orion: A Sci-Fi Visual Novel

I LOVED THIS. It’s a visual novel called Orion: A Sci-Fi Visual Novel and it’s probably my favourite VN so far. I guess it feels like there could be so much more to the story, but there isn’t and I do feel content with the story offered anyway. I think it’s the first VN without achievements that I’ve actually read everything. Overall everything was done really well! The voice acting, the sound effects, the writing, the art, and the story pacing were all done really well in my opinion. I’ve also got a thing for AI characters. :3

Castle Crashers

I finally got around to beating Castle Crashers for the first time, although it was last month. We only beat the campaign once but that’s enough to consider it beaten for me! Hopefully I’ll get to play more because it seems like there is a ton of things to do. I am a little late to the party though since this was the first time I ever really played it. Maybe I’ll try to 100% it eventually. :3

48

Master Reboot

I beat my first game for this months theme! I seriously love this months theme. It seems like it’s going to be the first month that I play more than 2 short games LOL. It’s called Master Reboot and I really was not expecting a horror game. I hadn’t looked at the store page before and for whatever reason I assumed this was a visual novel. It is indeed not a visual novel. It’s a fairly creepy/scary adventure game! It’s mostly focused on exploration and puzzles, although there is a bit of platforming thrown in there too. I would totally recommend it even though some parts are a bit frustrating. If you want to 100% there is a nice steam video guide that shows you the location of collectibles without telling you how to solve a level. For me the story was a bit hard to follow. By the end I think I mostly understand it but I feel like I forgot stuff that was told in the beginning because it made no sense to me then. Despite that the story is quite interesting. It was annoying to play to be honest because you can’t alt tab out of the game. This causes the screen to bug and you need to restart the whole game. This also happened randomly sometimes when you finished a level.

SteamWorld Dig

I beat SteamWorld Dig today for the monthly theme. I kind of have mixed feeling about this game. The first 2 or 3 hours were really really boring. It seemed more like a puzzle game where you had to carefully decide where to dig lest you get stuck. The ending was more fun because of all the upgrades but at that point I just wanted to finish the game. So I only beat it once and ended up with 8 out of 24 achievements. I won’t be playing again any time soon if ever. So I don’t think this game was terrible but it wasn’t great either.

50

Mind: Path to Thalamus

I 100% completed MIND: Path to Thalamus earlier! I kind of struggled through this game. In the beginning I was really impressed by the visual tricks and graphics, but for some reason the game also made me feel uneasy. I’m not sure why really. Then about halfway through the game I realized it had a story. I still don’t understand their choice of having to first find and then stop still for longer than a moment to listen to the dialogue which is the whole story. Ultimately I decided to keep not paying much attention to the story. Then after I beat the game I went back for achievements and a bug almost made me give up trying to 100%. (Thanks to Douglas for making me keep trying. :3) So yeah this game was a struggle for me, but I feel like it makes the completion more memorable. :p I would totally recommend this game anyway. It’s a really pretty puzzle game. Nothing was really frustrating except for a bugged level which is optional for an achievement but still completable. So overall if you’re looking for a relaxing game with puzzles than can make you think but aren’t stupid difficult, this is a good game for it.

Super Motherload

I beat Super Motherload today. It was similar to SteamWorld Dig, but it was a bit simpler overall. I was looking forward to playing both of those games because I thought I would enjoy them. Likely because of how much I enjoyed mining in Minecraft. I didn’t really enjoy either of these games though. Especially Super Motherload seemed incredibly boring. I would only recommend this game if you’re looking for an easy game to waste some time on. It does have local co-op multiplayer though which I imagine would make the game a lot more enjoyable!

52

Cibele

I woke up kinda early this morning and decided to play through Cibele. It has been just too long since I felt what it’s like to beat a game LOL. Honestly I was looking forward to playing this game despite the negative perception of it. I’m glad I did play because I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was shorter than I expected though. I understand the negative reviews but this is a type of game I really enjoy for some reason. The storyline of MMOs and low self esteem and online friend/relationships is one that I can definitely relate to as well. It was interesting to me and was worth the play through. If you like story games this wouldn’t be my top recommendation for most people, but I figure there could be worse ways to spend an hour.

53

Hook (2015)

One month later… I beat another 1 hour long game. Yay? D: My backlog fight at the moment has pretty much just been one 1 hour game per month for the last 2 months. It’s because I got back into multiplayer games. Gonna try to make it more a mix of both now though. :3 So today I beat Hook! It’s a really cute minimalist puzzler. In my opinion it was really too easy and I wish there was more puzzles. I did enjoy it for what it was though. I definitely recommend it if you have a spare hour or two! :3

54

KAMI

The new site update seems to have broken the ability to make new posts so I’ll just edit this in here. :) I finished KAMI completely today. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would, but I still did enjoy it enough to finish(which is rare lately)! Some puzzles were nice, and the game was very beautiful. It felt awfully repetitive though and the “hard” puzzles felt like they just required trial and error instead of any thinking. Maybe I went about it wrong. Oh well! Another game off the backlog, and an SG win to boot. :3

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey

I’m posting about Dreamfall Chapters again! I beat it for real this time. I sort of ended up playing it in an odd way but that’s alright! About 5 months ago I played through books 1 - 4 and stopped there since book 5 wasn’t out yet. Book 5 was released kinda recently and I played through from the beginning since I didn’t have my old save data on this computer. But I recovered the save data today and finished my old playthrough as well, and this resulted in me getting 100% achieves! Yay! This month is going much better already. Dreamfall Chapters was an SG win as well so I’m really happy I beat it. It took 37 hours. <3

This game is really good. It’s also really long. I would guess it would take about 26 hours to play through the whole game normally just once. I suspect this game goes from really good to absolutely amazing if you played/watched the previous games. This is my first game in the series though and while I realize I’m missing out on a lot, I still definitely enjoyed it. Maybe one day I’ll go back and play or watch the previous games and everything will make a lot more sense LOL. I recommend it either way! :3

The Walking Dead: Season Two

I finished The Walking Dead: Season 2 today! <3 I love how long these story games take. After finishing the first one I was really eager to play the 2nd, and our lovely Douglas gifted it to me a while ago now. I’ve been ever so slowly playing through it and it’s finally finished after 13 hours~ Thanks Douglas!

This game was great. I wouldn’t say it was better but it was definitely just as good as the first one. Telltale is so good at making you feel involved and caring about the characters. Some people complain about how the choices don’t actually matter but to me that’s sort of irrelevant. The choices FEEL like they matter and that’s the important part to me. Sometimes you have to make a decision and no matter what you know it’s bad, and then other times you feel like you’re making a good decision and then end up regretting it. I love the feelings LOL. I’m sad it’s over!

Terraria

I love this game!! I got this game as a gift a long time ago, so it was way overdue to play it. I worked on 100%ing Terraria with Douglas, and with Shirl’s help, and we finished at the end of August. It was lots of fun! This game can be really really time consuming. We played for a lot of hours for quite a few days. It’s got so much that I love about gaming in it. It has on the side relaxing elements, lots of cosmetic and non-cosmetic customization, interesting exploration and progression, and fun boss fights!

I hope to play more soon when I have some free time. I’d like to get the best gear possible for my class but that’s mostly a money grind. Thinking about it there’s actually a lot more I’d like to do. With classes starting soon a break was in order for sure. I’m super happy to have 100%ed it first though. The grind to 100% was actually kind of crazy. There was just one grindy part to game where you have to fish 200 times, but you can only do it once every 24 minutes in real time. This would be 80 hours of gameplay minimum and spending quite a bit of it fishing. I did about 60 of these normally before finding a more efficient method. No cheating involved I promise! :3

63

Puzzler World

I preferred Puzzler World. Both were good but I rushed my way through the second for achievements since if I’m going to just play for fun I’ll play the first one. I think there was over a thousand puzzles so I will likely never finish them all. They’re pretty much the same game except for a few changes in the second, which all seemed to be changes for the worse in my opinion. There’s a reward after you complete each puzzle and they changed the animation style for it in the second game so it takes considerably longer. As such you spend quite a bit of time waiting. There was a puzzle type that got really annoying in the second one too. It was a sort of numbers colouring game that I forget the name of, and they made the window really small so that you have to scroll through it instead of being able to see the whole puzzle at once like in the first game. That might just be nitpicking though. They’re very similar, but I think the first one was better.

66

Shelter

I actually really enjoyed Shelter. It’s a bit confusing at times to understand the new mechanics in each level, but I caught on quickly enough. My first play through I lost 2 babies… The first baby I pretty much abandoned and she was eaten. T_T The second baby was lost to a bug relating to me being unable to drop food that I had picked up. I played through a second time in an effort to save all of my babies, but the effort was wasted! I got to the very last part with all my babies, like literally 5 seconds until the end, and I lost a baby. Mostly due to impatience to finish. I decided that was close enough lol. I really enjoyed the game though! It’s one I would consider playing again if I need something easy and sort of relaxing. I tried to play the second Shelter today but it was an entirely different type of game. It’s more sandbox and has no levels or anything. I didn’t find it interesting right away so it’s a really low priority now.

67

Croixleur Sigma

Croixleur Sigma was an SG win! The combat is really similar to Neptunia U which I enjoyed enough to 100%. I’m still considering it for this game, but Croixleur Sigma is much more difficult. I’ll probably try again to get more achievements but it seems a bit too difficult for me for some reason. I’m not even sure why because I usually like this type of game, and it’s not like it’s complicated. The gameplay is really simple/repetitive, and the combo system even simpler. I think the annoying camera makes it even worse. The game is really cute though, and I beat the story line so I’m considering it beat for now.

68

Expand

Expand was seriously awesome. I actually would recommend this game to anyone really. It’s just so relaxing and beautiful. The music is great too. It’s kind of like art. There isn’t much to say about it in my opinion, but if the store page interests you at all I think you should play.

69

The Old City: Leviathan

The Old City: Leviathan was weird. The narrative wasn’t interesting at all. It was like he was saying “big words” just to say them. I didn’t really like it but I decided to finish it anyway because it was an SG win. On the good side, it was pretty. I took a lot of screenshots! Screenshot simulator FTW <3

Limbo

LIMBO was a game that I beat for a “Play or Pay” event in one of my steamgifts groups. I heard a lot of good things about this game but I never had a lot of interest in it because it looked spooky and I don’t really like platformers. I added it to my account though when they were giving it away for free on Steam. I didn’t enjoy it at all. It felt like such a drag the whole time and I just wished it was over. I think this was mostly because of my dislike of platformers though. For some reason I find the playstyle of puzzle platformers so irritating. Like it’s a puzzle game which I love, but you have to figure something out, die and then you have to repeat the stuff that you already figured out. It’s not fun to me. But I’m pretty much just complaining for no reason. I didn’t enjoy playing this game but I still think it was a good game. The atmosphere as well was awesome to experience. I think it was worth the playthrough even though I hated almost every moment LOL. I want to like platformers but I just never do…

Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy

Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy was another game that I played for the Play or Pay event. It was really fun! I only beat the game but it seemed to be pretty easy. The concept of only have 30 seconds to beat a level is unique and interesting. Being forced to rush through every level instead of it just being an option was pretty enjoyable. It only took me a few hours to beat the game, but I’m pretty sure it takes a very long time if you plan to 100%. I might go back one day and try to complete more of it, but for now I’m happy with just beating it.

72

50 Years

50 years is a game that I picked up with a coupon because it seemed like a good strategy game for someone like me who hasn’t played strategy games much before. I beat it once and that was enough for me though. The simplicity just made it boring. Every playthrough ends up being really similar and while I can see it actually becoming quite difficult on the higher difficulty levels, I think that would be more fun for someone who is experienced with strategy games and just wants pure strategy in their game. To me it was really boring and didn’t seem worth my time.

Never Alone

I’ve been so eager to play Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) ever since I got it. I don’t remember when that was, but it was a while ago. I’ve put it off though because I really wanted to play it with local multiplayer. My chance finally arrived! It was because I moved into a new apartment and didn’t have internet yet, so me and my boyfriend played through this game in offline mode. I don’t think he liked it that much, but he thought the story and setting were nice so it was still good and fun to play. I liked the game quite a bit myself. It was beautiful, and your fox companion is seriously so cute. Dieing and having to restart still bothered me like it does in all platformers but I think to be honest it wasn’t that irritating because I was playing multiplayer. Multiplayer just makes me happier for some reason LOL. We didn’t play the DLC yet though. Hopefully I can remember to do that eventually.
