May I suggest we add:

  • PSN - as a provider for PS2 and PS1 games. We can have these games on PS3, Vita, PSP but they are still PS1/PS2 games running emulated on these consoles.

  • EA Play - as a provider for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Xbox games.

  • Ubisoft Plus - as a procider for PC/Windows games.

  • Microsoft Store - as a provider for Xbox 360 and Xbox games, as we can buy Xbox 360 and Xbox games on Microsoft Store.

  • Nintendo Switch Online - as a provider for NES, SNES, Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive games.

  • Apple Arcade and App Store - as a provider for iOS games.

  • Play Pass - as a provider for Android games.

  • GeForce Now - as a provider for PC games.

I just noticed we are also missing Games With Gold as a provider for Xbox Series consoles.

I'm not familiar with all of these, but I think several of these may be more fit for the Sources when you're adding to collection (like Ubisoft Plus). The digital games are on Uplay, which is a listed provider, but you may have acquired them through Ubisoft Plus (the source). As I understand, they are sources for purchasing or obtaining games, but those games are activated on a different provider (Steam, Uplay, Origin).

GeForce Now is something I've just used as a tag personally in my collection, because again GeForce Now isn't the provider since you have to own the game on Steam, Epic, or Uplay and that would be the provider.

Nintendo Switch Online is a provider when you're using Nintendo Switch as the platform.
PSN is a provider when you're using PSP, PS3, PS4, or PS5 as the platform.
Microsoft Store and Games With Gold are providers when you're using Xbox One or Xbox 360 as the platform.

I'm not familiar with EA Play, or these Android and iOS providers, so someone else can chime in on that.

EDIT: Apparently Ubisoft Plus is a subscription service like EA Play. I don't know how we handle subscription services since you don't own the games, you can just access them in the cloud

Mobile platforms are an interesting one because I think everything has to go through the corresponding store? So if you select Android or iOS as the platform for an item in your collection, wouldn't it always be the same provider? That's not a rhetorical question, by the way, I'm not really well-versed on mobile gaming, so I'm not sure Android would be "Play Store" and Apple would be "Apple Store", I guess? I'm not sure where Apple Arcade fits in as I'm not familiar with it. I'm not suggesting the site automatically set the provider or anything because A) not everyone may want this and B) it could change in the future, but just trying to get a better understanding of everything.

As for the cloud services...I'm not sure. I still need to add the Xbox Cloud Gaming and PS Now...somewhere. I'm not sure if they should be platforms or digital format providers since they sort of straddled the edge of each. I know we have Stadia as a platform, but that one seemed like a no-brainer since it was a standalone kinda thing. But these other ones are bolted on to existing things. I tend to lean towards a digital format provider, but not 100% settled on the issue.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this...
But as of this month Amazon now has their own downloadable game app, to coincide with them jumping on board with the monthly free game bandwagon. So can we now have Amazon Games added within the list of the Format section, on the pop up window for adding new games?
Amazon is everywhere LOL
