Description

Heard of some games and/or series as a kid that passively interested me, but never got to play. If series, I'll put the first game on the stack. This will probably get updated as I remember more youth curiosities.

Ape Escape

(Series) I had a couple friends who liked this series but I never played it.

Super Monkey Ball

(Series) As a youth I didn't care as much about this as Sonic, but the older I got the more things changed.

Acquired on 6/28/2022 - Banana Mania, anyway. I played it and while I can appreciate it, in the long run it's definitely not for me.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy

(Game) I own it on Steam, but as a kid this always fascinated me along with Egyptian stuff in general.

Completed on 11/10/2021. 1st on the list.

Star Ocean: First Departure

(Series) The PSP had a lot of great RPGs/remakes on it, Star Ocean is just one I could not find quick enough.

Dark Cloud

(Game) This one fascinated me the older I got, but at that point it was too late.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

(Series) The series as a whole gelled with me as I was introduced to Bejeweled as a youth. I do own the first game on Steam, haven't really played yet.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

(Game/Series Kinda) Looked like an interesting platformer series, but I didn't care much for Playstation/Platformers as much as a youth until I got older.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance

(Game) This was one of my dad's favorite games of all time, but he never let me play it and I can't find the disc.

I own the second game on Steam and have started it.

PaRappa the Rapper

(Game) Katamari Damacy was my fever dream as a kid and I got to play through that. This... might be a close second.

Lunar: Silver Star Harmony

(Series) Another PSP RPG series I was curious about but never picked up, apparently the PS1 physical release had a lot of cool packed in content.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (2005)

(Game) This one piqued my interest when I was getting more into RPGs. I could go for the 3DS or PS2 version honestly.

I have a 3DS version I can play.
