1

The First Tree

Date: 1/16/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 1h51m

  • A small game with a strong message where throughout the game it makes itself known to the player, leaving a tear in the corner of the eye.

2

Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms

Date: 1/18/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 31h31m

  • I played the first volume and I confess that I found this second volume much more interesting, for the simple reason that there is more drama and feelings in the mix. Of the various candidates that the game offers, only a few interested me. The fact of being vocalized gives a more interesting touch to the Visual Novel where there are several endings depending on the choices that are made throughout the game. If you’re curious to try a visual novel, I don’t think you’ll regret it with this one.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX

Date: 1/29/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 28h10m

  • I never got to play the original but this remake is fantastic in my opinion, as it brings together all the pokémons that went to the GBA and NDS versions into one. Where it tells a story that aroused my interest, having several places to explore being main or secondary throughout the game in order to evolve the rank of our rescue team that we can create in the game but also of our members who are part of it. The possibility that the game gives to choose which pokémon we want to be without being dependent on the quiz is fantastic. Even after finishing the main story of the game, the post game that the game offers seems to be endless in a good way. If you like the Rogue-like genre, I think you’ll like this game.

Pokémon Shield

Date: 3/5/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 68h10m

  • Since Pokémon Omega Ruby, which was my last pokémon game I played, this pokémon left my mouth open without a doubt. The detail of each location is fantastic, not forgetting the wild areas that look more like an open-world but in miniature, where we have the opportunity to camp with our pokémons, living, playing and cooking for them, left me fascinated. In wild areas, many of them pokémons are visible to catch, where as in each version there are exclusives, but if you have Pokémons Go you can easily transfer these pokémons without depending on other players, however it is worth seeing which pokémons were excluded in these versions. The weather here affects which pokémon spawn in various locations, which is cool. This pokémon has the concept of Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing that puts the pokémons in XXL size where the attacks in my opinion are fantastic, as well as the normal attacks. The soundtrack is undoubtedly very cool, like the soundtrack of combat with the gym leaders. A feature that I really liked in the game was the Poké Jobs, which helps with level evolution but also involves more interaction with pokémons to be useful instead of gathering dust in the box after being caught. If you’ve never played pokémon this pokémon is undoubtedly very friendly to new players.

Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu!

Date: 3/7/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 28h48m

  • I’ve played Red for the GBC and FireRed for the GBA and have seen the game evolve gradually over the years. This remake they did is a little different from the usual one since it was made after Pokemon Go. In my opinion I found this concept interesting, where a second player can join the adventure with a support activating double combat giving the player an advantage, in which the capture of pokémons that are visible in herbs is identical to pokémon, having exclusives for each version, where we can always use Pokémon Go to transfer these pokémons without depending on other players.

Layers of Fear 2

Date: 3/9/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 4h29m

  • I played the first game and I think this volume is scarier than the first one, as it has monsters, where we can activate safe mode or not. Throughout the various acts, it shows the player the protagonist’s life, where sometimes it’s a little confusing who we wear during the acts. The game has 3 endings, a good, bad and true one, which changes depending on our actions, where one of them I didn’t like very much since it involves domestic animals, but apart from that there are several jumpscares throughout the game that leave the player insecure to progress if you let fear control you.

Pokémon Sword / Pokémon Shield - The Isle of Armor

Date: 3/10/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 5h51m

  • One of the DLC’s that exists in both versions, where you can add more pokémon to catch where we have a brand new pokémon, having some extras to do. However, I thought that the content of the DLC is little for the price they ask for it in my opinion.

Lords of the Fallen

Date: 3/17/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 13h57m

  • A game that I left out in the past, but I wanted to give it a second chance and I’m glad I did. I confess that the game’s story is not something very epic, but it’s reasonable, however, the controls can be a little frustrating in certain situations. There are 3 classes to choose from where each one has its difficulty in mastering, several bosses to kill with their game mechanics. This game is one of the games considered soul’s-like, where compared to Dark Souls it’s easier, so for those who have never played the genre, I think it’s a good choice to start with.

9

Pokémon Sword / Pokémon Shield - The Crown Tundra

Date: 3/24/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 8h57m

  • One of the DLC’s that exists in both versions, more focused on capturing legendary pokémons, through clues divided into 3 parts and the Pokémon Den. However, there is a little story behind the icy region, where we also have several pokemons to capture, but I thought the DLC content is little for the price they ask for it in my opinion.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition

Date: 3/25/2022 | 5/20/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 39h54m | 104h

  • Oh boy, what a game. I don’t even know where to start. The player starts by choosing which class to start, where the game teaches what to do step by step as the player progresses through the first zone, until having his first fight with the first boss of the game. From this point, the player is free to go wherever he wants, where he will see various scenarios as well as enemies, fight optional bosses, except for those that are mandatory to progress in the game where each one has its mechanics. The level of gear and weapons can be upgraded if the player talk to Blacksmith as long as they have the necessary materials for this purpose. Pay attention that everything or almost everything the game presents is the player’s enemy, except for the NPCs that can be killed too, so be careful. There were some NPC’s who will ask if you want to join their faction, where they will get some bonuses if the player evolve in the faction rank. In the game there are two endings where the player can make his decision at the end after defeating the last boss of the game, where after completing the game he can immediately proceed to the second round of the game. Unfortunately the game’s online mode is still disabled until you see it. If you are thinking about giving this game a chance, remember that this game was designed to die A LOT of times, so take it easy.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin

Date: 4/2/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 27h58m

  • This game doesn’t change much in terms of gameplay that the first one has, just changing the scenarios, enemies and bosses with their mechanics. Where here, in this volume, they introduced the TP system of each bonfire discovered, which helps immensely in moving between distant points, and also the torches can be used to illuminate dark places. As with Dark Souls 1, the game’s online mode is still disabled. If you are thinking about giving this game a chance, remember that this game was designed to die A LOT of times, so take it easy.

12

Blackguards

Date: 4/2/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 09h31

  • [Dropped] A game with an interesting story, where strategy involves this game, with the possibility of choosing one of the three classes available in the game. As we progress in the game, several companions will accompany us on our journey, but the RNG of this game in my opinion is a little unbalanced, which for now made me give up on the game, maybe pick up the game again in the future.

Among the Sleep: Enhanced Edition

Date: 4/5/2022
Completed: Solo
Time: 2h35

  • A game with an interesting concept in the eyes of a 2 year old child, where in the various levels we see her fears, however I thought the ending was a little unrealistic, in my opinion.
