Based on the feedback I received in another thread, it sounds like revamping the Collection page is going to be a top priority after the upcoming holidays. That should give me plenty of time to collect additional feedback and put together a plan for implementation. So....if there's anything you'd like to see on the new Collection page, now is the time to post! I can't guarantee everything will make it in, but I will take everything into consideration and work to building the best page possible |

Amazing website just found it today, was looking for a website since I'm moving out and needed a list of games i own. A idea i though would look nice is having some kind of view with shelves with all the box art that you have in your list and on top of the shelve with a image of the Console that is added at so it would look like a virtual library you could have in real life. anyways props on the nice website |

Great you get going on the collection page. Got some stuff to suggest and like to see realised if possible. First of all, the way it works and looks is already great. Below are just things that enhance the already excellent page. Perhaps I come up with more idea's, this is it for now. Good luck! |

For the Box Art view, I was always a fan of the "flip" transition, but I don't really like how the only information displayed is the game's rating and if it was finished or not. I think it would be nice to see the same overall completion bars present in Now Playing also in the hover view as I feel like this will provide more motivating information. If I was able to see more of my completions from this viewpoint, I would without a doubt use it more often. So another thing to consider, moho!

Just started using this website, great job so far! There are still a few enhancements missing that would make it really great. Here are a few suggestions: I agree with Marcelloz on the following points: for the flip view: also show the digital platform Additional filtering options
Sorting on rank The biggest improvement for me would be a way to do a custom sort on "rank" by dragging and dropping the list elements. This would be similar to how the steam wishlist works. Rank would then also be one of the sorting options
This is already very helpful for me to determine which games to play next in broad terms, but when you have a lot of games each category tends to still have a lot of games. Some more fine-grained control would be nice. It would be nice to be able to set the list from within the add game window. As rank you can just put it as last of the list by default. Mobile If some of these things are already possible in some other ways and I have overlooked it, please let me know :)! Keep up the good work!

Not sure if this is possible, but have a game that is owned on multiple platforms grouped together. This way if I own, say, Rebel Galaxy on PS4, Steam and GOG, they would be on one line of my collection, but have multiple sub-entries. Possibly nested in the Collections page, or on Tabs in the game's page (ie, user can + a tab for another platform entry). I know that this is a complicated suggestion, but I think it would get the best of both worlds, allowing people to keep all entries for the same game together, yet being able to distinguish specifically on which platform they have, for example, performed completions or have made an amount of progress. So I know I've beaten Rebel Galaxy twice, once on Steam, once on PS4; on Steam I only got 50% of achievements, but on PS4 I got 98% of achievements. I suppose the progress bar on the Collections page would take the highest of the progress values for the different sources of the same game. EDIT (11/06/16 5!22!47AM): Forgot to say another benefit. Say I only own Rebel Galaxy, on those three platforms, and that is my entire collection. If I beat it on PS4 and Steam, the current set up will say I've beaten 2/3 of my games. I think it would be better if the completion is grouped per game, because after all, I've beaten 100% of my collection, a single game, twice. EDIT 2: If that proves to be a ridiculous amount of work, a simpler option for grouping games would be to merely have it possible to add multiple platform/digital formats added to a game, all with one info page. Database-wise, I supposed that could be done with one table with the collection entry ID and the platform as a key pair. At the very least, this would still group completions for a single game over multiple platforms.

Nocmin:
What you are describing seems to be in line with the sorting feature already available on the My Collection page. As it sounds, you desire to look at your completion ratio for the same game on different platforms. This can be achieved by using filtering options already implemented. As an example, I have used Metal Gear games under the same filter as you seem to have requested. As you see with the multiple entries of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, I have the options to sort through different levels of completion as well as platform, genre, region, and format. I hope this has been helpful to you. However, if your request was different than what I have described, please feel free to elaborate more.

I was thinking that all the Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake games could be nested, especially if I own it on Ps2, Ps3, Xbox 360, and PC. This way, if I complete it once on PS2, I have completed 1/1 games in my list, rather than 1/4. But then, as I start to think of it more, where do you draw the line of "Same Game"? Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake vs Metal Gear 2: Sons of Liberty vs Metal Gear 2: Substance, etc. Guacamelee vs Guacamelee Gold vs Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition. Doom 2, Doom 2 Xbox, Doom 2 BFG Edition, etc. I suppose grouping could be done on the base game: Metal Gear 2, Guacamelee, Doom 2. But I suppose it complicates things further. I just like the idea of being able to say: "I beat Doom 2. I own 4 versions of it, but I beat one version and have therefore accomplished the game. I may go back and play other versions, but I don't need to." and have that reflect in the collection/backlog, without it saying I have 3 more versions to beat. I'm not sure if my ramblings have clarified anything. >_< If I have time in the coming days, I'll try to shoop an image of what I mean. |

Aw geeze... Okay, having now added a completion of a game, I see that it does track across platforms, or at least digital sources. I completed a playthrough on Steam, and the GOG copy of the game also lists the stats of the completion. Sorry, I didn't realize it was already doing this; shoulda played with it more beforehand. >_< Okay, well, as nifty as nesting the game's consoles would still be, I understand your confusion at everything else I was saying, since it is already doing that! ^_^' Would it propagate to a non-PC copy of the game as well, or just to all PC versions?

When you update your progress status via Add Completion, it should apply that status to all copies of the game in your collection that share a database entry regardless of platform. |

I will also add that the completion detail will allow you to specify what platform. So you can see that detail if necessary. For example, I have Back to the Future (the TellTale game) on both PC and PS3. For both iterations, it appears I have a completion. However, if you look at the specific completion, it says I completed the game for PS3. If I went in and added the same Back to the Future to my collection 14 more ways (put it under 14 other systems (physical or not)), the completion count would show 1 for all those. However, let's say a different version of the game out (anniversary edition, as an example), since it's a different entry in the database and is treated as a separate game, it wouldn't show the completion count as 1. Hopefully that makes sense. |

I should be good for that time. Don't really care what game, I'll just roll with whatever people want to play. |

Maybe we should postpone to give others a chance to join? I'm in the middle of painting my basement ceiling right now and I got started a bit later than I had anticipated, so perhaps that works out better for me too. I'm still several weeks out from being able to work on this feature, so there's no rush for the discussion If we postpone, I suggest 3/11 since it will be after the Switch launch and before the NCAA basketball tournament :P |

Sounds kind of crazy, but what if @Dhobo did another mock-up of something that he's probably got rolling around in his head? I feel like his mockups in the past have been really good and could be what we need as far as visualization to get ideas. |

Thanks! That was basically the plan from my end of things. Figured after we had our meeting and talked about things, I'd have a checklist of the various requirements and goals we're all looking to get out of the end product that I could incorporate into my mockup. From there, get some feedback from the first mockup, do some tweaks (or generate a new concept if first concept is bad/wrong) do a bit of back and forth until we get something that works and moho_00 can start working his wizardry on to make it a reality. I'm not entirely sure as to the actual scope of the revamp to be honest as things stand right now, so the initial discussion will help cement that in place at least. |
