The 2019 Completionator Community Top 10 voting has come to a close and I want to thank everyone who participated in the event this year. A few years ago we thought it would be fun to come up with our own video game awards that you, the members of the Completionator community, could vote on. Unlike other Game of the Year awards, the games people could vote for were for all games ever, not just those released in 2019. The only rule is the vote had to be for a game the person played in 2019.

This year we had 26 people submit votes on 219 different games. The votes were given point values based on how the games were placed in the person’s stack. So first place received 10 points and tenth placed received 1 point. We tallied up the scores and surprisingly, there was just one tie this year. Without further ado, we now reveal the 2019 Completionator Community Top 10!

10 - Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

)

Release Date: 11/15/2019
Number of Owners: 26
Average User Rating: 88%
2019 Completions: 6

Our 10th place game is a game many wondered if EA would mess up again after the Battlefront 2 debacle. So far this game has gotten stellar reviews and it looks like our users like it as well!

9 - Sonic Mania

Release Date: 8/16/2017
Number of Owners: 258
Average User Rating: 88%
2019 Completions: 5

Sonic Mania makes its way back onto the top 10 this year after first appearing in 2017 then dropping off last year. It's return is likely due to the more recent release of Sonic Mania Plus. If you haven't picked up Sonic Mania yet you are truly missing out!

8 - Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Release Date: 11/1/2017
Number of Owners: 174
Average User Rating: 84%
2019 Completions: 7

This is the first year Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has made the list despite being released in 2017. Maybe it took two years for people to finally beat this game. :)

7 - Resident Evil 2 (2019)

Release Date: 1/25/2019
Number of Owners: 123
Average User Rating: 93%
2019 Completions: 29

The remake of the classic survival horror game has gotten rave reviews and our users agree! Resident Evil 2 has the highest average user rating of all the games on the list this year at 93% and the most amount of completions at 29. Our users love some Resident Evil!

6 - Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Average User Rating: 87%
2019 Completions: 16

The latest installment of Fire Emblem made it to #6 on this year's list. Many didn't know what to think of the game when it was first announced but it looks like Nintendo does it again with publishing a critically acclaimed game.

5 - Luigi's Mansion 3

Release Date: 10/31/2019
Number of Owners: 35
Average User Rating: 84%
2019 Completions: 7

The third installment of another beloved Nintendo franchise debuts at #5 on our list! If you enjoyed the Gamecube or 3DS versions of the game, you're sure to have a great time with this one.

4 - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Release Date: 12/7/2018
Number of Owners: 228
Average User Rating: 90%
2019 Completions: 22

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lands at 4th place for it's first time on the top 10 list. Smash was released last December during last year's voting so not many people had to chance to play it before voting ended. This is by far, the most massive Smash to date, with so many different games within this game, you're sure to have fun for days!

3 - Untitled Goose Game

Release Date: 9/20/2019
Number of Owners: 21
Average User Rating: 83%
2019 Completions: 7

This has to be the most surprising entry this year. The Untitled Goose Game, an indie game that really came out of no where is one of the most popular games of the year. Yes, you are a goose but annoying random people is just so much fun! Honk

2 - Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition

Release Date: 9/27/2019
Number of Owners: 28
Average User Rating: 83%
2019 Completions: 2

The Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest XI is our 2nd place game this year. Last year the regular edition was our 3rd place game so the fact that Dragon Quest XI actually moved UP a placement this year is quite amazing.

T-1 Astral Chain

Release Date: 8/30/2019
Number of Owners: 35
Average User Rating: 76%
2019 Completions: 10

This year we have a TIE for 1st place! Astral Chain, another Nintendo exclusive, is our co-Game of the Year! What's odd about this one is this game has the lowest user rating of all the games on the list yet it made 1st. That's what's great about the top 10 list, you never know what you're gonna get!

T-1 - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019)

Release Date: 9/20/2019
Number of Owners: 52
Average User Rating: 85%
2019 Completions: 11

The other co-Game of the Year is the remake of the classic Game Boy game, Link's Awakening! The updated art style with the classic story make this a wonderful game to pick up no matter if you've played it before or not.
