Okay, the website is up and running now...I've added a little more content since the 10/10/2025 relaunch.
First is the Playstation 3 section of reviews. I thought this section was going to be a smaller section. I didn't realize that I had reviewed over 100 games for this console already....and I added ten more to the list as I was converting everything over. The ten new games added were Armageddon Riders, BioShock 2, Elefunk, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Piyotama, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Super Street Fighter IV, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011.
Updated today (if I publish this blog on Halloween, like I'm anticipating) is the PC section...I skipped a week of updates specifically for this section. The majority of this blog will be talking about the new games added for the PC section, as well. It has been an annual tradition, for the last few years, that I play a bunch of obscure and not-obscure horror games for PC and publish them in one, big bunch on Halloween. Last year, it was 54 games all added at once. This year, due to me focusing so much time on updating the website, I didn't have THAT many new additions, but I did get 39 new games reviewed and added....but since my time was limited, I did focus much, much more on short, obscure horror games than anything else. The result is mostly a case of quantity of games added over quality of games added.
Anyway, with all of that said....it's time for the 2025 3pmoot.com Halloween Awards!!!....WOOOOOO!!!!................sorry, I can get a little excitied sometimes.
"Game inside of a game inside of a game" award
Winners: (tie) Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk and Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk

These games both recieved half of a vote to win this award...I split my vote in half for them...and since I'm the only one voting, that means they got a tie. Both games are nice little visual novels that aren't too fancy, but they're fine for what they are. They also give some insight on mental illness, giving the player a reminder to just be kind to folks - you never know what inner struggles someone else is fighting.
"I'd like to make a clone of this game that isn't broken" award
Winner: Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut

I love Deadly Premonition, so I was willing to fight through all of the bugs and such to get this to work well enough for me to see it through to the end. However, I really wish I didn't have to do all of that. I'd like to make a clone of Deadly Premonition with all of the bugs fixed, and maybe with a "speed run" mode implemented with Sigourney the Pot Lady always sitting in your car to urge you to play faster. I'd call this clone "Lethal Presentiment."
"This style got me accepted in art college" award
Winner: Ratshaker

In high school, one of my favorite things to do artistically was to draw realistic animals with cartoony backgrounds and/or props...like a realistic sloth doing cartoony road construction work. Ratshaker does the opposite - realistic environments with a cartoony rat that you shake and squeeze to do everything in the game, like open doors and such. While not perfect, Ratshaker was probably also my guilty pleasure of the year - I liked it a bit more than I feel like I should have.
"I got served" award
Winner: YetiParty

I walked into YetiParty thinking I had some sick dance moves on the dance floor, son...then I played YetiParty, and Leonid served me up a big ol' pile of humble casserole. I now think that I dance like a pigeon with its legs covered in molasses...which is entertaining to some, but I can't match Leonid when he cuts a rug. I have been completely served.
"I just walked around making fart noises" award
Winner: The Hole

The Hole is kind of a disturbing game...but when I found a whoopie cushion in the game, I found myself walking around with it in hand, pressing the button to make it emit fart noises. Was the game creepy? Maybe for some...but it's kinda hard to scare someone that's squeezing a whoopie cushion repeatedly for the comical value. If they wanted to frighten me, maybe that "hole" should have been in the whoopie cushion so I couldn't use it.
"Terry Funk memorial empty arena" award
Winner: Loan Shark

This award won't make sense to anyone unless they're familiar with 1981 Memphis wrestling history....Anyway, in Loan Shark, to get to a certain point in the story, you're required to gouge out your eye to trade for a magical lure that turns fish into gold. The boat is like a fishing arena, and I was the only fella on it, so...it was an empty arena where a sharp object got inserted into my eye. I suppose that gives Loan Shark the award by default.
"I couldn't find a plunger" award
Winner: POOLS

POOLS is a walking simulator where you walk through a maze full of pools. The further you get in the game, the darker (and wetter) it seems to get...but as you make your way through the game, you may be wondering, "Where did all this water come from?" That answer is given about mid-way through the game when you find a submerged toilet that was obviously the culprit. The toilet got clogged and it overflowed the entire game...I tried to jiggle the handle to see if that would help....it didn't, so I gave up and slid down a water slide instead.
"I couldn't make a sandwich sandwich" award
Winner: Burnhouse Lane

I really liked Burnhouse Lane...as a fan of The Cat Lady, and other Harvester Games titles, I figured that I'd love this game as well. However, one aspect that I didn't realize that I would find so much enjoyment in was making sandwiches for George, the kindly old man that you're caring for. There's an assortment of ingredients that you can use to make George a sandwich, but despite my efforts, creating a "sandwich sandwich" didn't seem to be possible. I may have saved Angie from her fate, but I failed miserably at my attempts to be an innovative sandwich maker.
2025 Halloween Game of the Year
Winner: No, I'm Not a Human

I was talking about video games with a lass at work and I told her I was playing Halloween-ish games. She recommended No, I'm Not a Human, stating that a lot of her friends were saying good things about it. Well, I looked into it...and then it caught my interest....so I caved and bought it. I wound up absolutely loving it. I found myself playing it repeatedly...I've seen 4 or 5 of the endings so far, and I'm having fun just experimenting with everything to see if I can discover anything new. Of all the horror games that I played through this year, No, I'm Not a Human has to be my favorite of the bunch.
Those games aren't the only horror-themed ones that I played this year, but they're the ones that stuck with me the most...for good or bad.
With all of that out of the way, what did you guys like this year, in terms of horror games? If anyone is reading this, feel free to comment and let me know. If I haven't played them any games mentioned, I might try to squeeze 'em in for next year.
I'll wrap this entry up for now, though. So, like always, thanks for reading, thanks for the support, and thanks for allowing me to thank you. And remember, all of us have photographic memories...just some of us haven't gotten it developed yet. Toodle-oo.
