Anyone besides me a member at steamgifts.com? It's actually one of the rare no catch sites out there. I've won 28 games and 2 DLC over the past couple years there. You don't have to give away games yourself, but I tend to give away keys that are extra from bundles. In any event, if you aren't, I definitely recommend it. |

Hrm, neat. I tend to give away my spare keys to friends or old guild buddies from my MMO days. |

In case anyone's curious, here's the list of games I've won from the site. A lot of "Eh, at least it was free." but a couple of good ones too. Games:

Have you played Krater yet? It looked kinda interesting, but I've heard mixed things on it. |

I played it for a bit (for cards I think). I wasn't too impressed with the graphics, but it had some promise. I might reinstall it later. |

I see you get points - how do you get more? The FAQ doesn't really tell you much on that. My guess is that the gradually regenerate but not sure. |

You get points every time someone creates a giveaway on the site, even if its for a game you already own. I think it's something like for every $10 worth of game given away (Steam list price), everyone on the site gets 1 point, up to a maximum of 300. |

I participated in over 300 give-aways and won 2, mainly because they were given away to members of a private group i am in. So the bets are normally like 1:1000 chances to win a game. |

One of the tricks if you just want to win stuff is to be on the lookout for giveaways ending soon that don't have many entries. The highest odds I ever beat (in giveaways where only one game was being given away) was actually the first game I won 4 days after entering the site, Krater. Something like 1600 entries or so for that one. The Galactic Arms Race copy I won had about 29K entries in its give away, but they were giving away 25K copies, so the odds were still quite good. :) The giveaways won screen used to show how many entries each giveaway had. |

Since we have a lot of new people since I first wrote this post, I think it's worth reiterating again how awesome this site is for game collectors (and because it's fun listing all I've won). Especially that there's no gimmicks or catches to it. You just enter giveaways with points that automatically regenerate and it's all free except for whatever games you wish to donate. Since I last listed my games won above, I've won: Games:
DLC:
One of these days, I suppose I need to actually try making a game with all this game maker DLC. |

I love Steamgifts, so far from entering 3,637 times, I have won... Supraball There is also... https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways Which isn't as good as SteamGifts, but I pop on there occasionally. From them I've won.... Particula Both sites are worth a quick daily log in to use your entry points. Takes no time at all. |

Do you contribute a lot? I've started putting some giveaways up lately to work on my contributor level. Higher level giveaways have better odds of winning. |

I've contributed mainly bundle stuff that I've already had. I've gotten to level 4. |

I just found that site today. Put up a few contributions so far and entered a handful. EDIT: One day later and I've already won a game :) Sixtieth Kilometer, a fairly badass looking VN. Great site.
