Has anyone used GOG Galaxy yet? If so, what are your thoughts so far? I think it has potential to be awesome, but I must say I'm a little underwhelmed so far. It seems like it's just the GOG website dropped into a client application. I'm okay with that for the store portion, but the library side of things needs a lot of work. I really don't want to page through my games in a client application!

Oh and the way you add friends is rather clumsy and has resulted in lots of junk threads on the forums. My name is moho_00 on there though, just in case anyone wants to friend me and maybe play some AvP sometime :D That's assuming it doesn't freeze up on me when I click on Multiplayer...

Before this went open beta it was even more bare bones. Heck, it didn't even properly minimize to the icon tray for the longest time!

They seem to add a new feature every week or so, like the OS library filtering that's in there now which is pretty neat for those of us with different systems to game on. The friend system is still a WIP since it's still greyed out in the featurelist on the client itself (along with achievements, chat, game time tracking, etc...) I'm sure once it's all added in properly it'll be pretty sweet, or so I hope!

It's a client with a lot of potential right now, and I hope it does something to set it apart from the other similar clients out there, otherwise, it'll end up being a slightly more convenient way to browse/play my GoG library than having to use their website. I'd love it if they did some kind of tunggle/gameranger, etc... implementation for when people want to play older games that only really support LAN connections.

Basically my opinion of GoG equals you guys to some extent. Steam has spoiled me as far as the convenience of having a launcher and while Galaxy is barebones now, it has potential.
