Should have mentioned one of the fun cheats in Simpsons: Hit and Run earlier.

In certain missions, you're supposed to get in a car and drive to a certain point before a timer runs out. But if you know where you're going, the timer doesn't start until you get in a car. Therefore, you can easily just walk there, then get in a car there and easily pass the mission. :)

The mission I gave up on was one of those! I actually noticed that right before I quit playing, but I was too annoyed to replay it again and cheat (though I did at least turn my car around and point it in the right direction on my last try) :P So yeah, that's a good example of the lazy programming on the game hehe. It seems like they could've used a few more months to smooth things out.

Just finished Sanitarium!

I'd probably given the game a star or two more on my rating but my two biggest gripes with the game:

No ability to run
Some items/interactions aren't the most apparent things

You need to be buying ARK.

Hows the multiplayer work in ARK? Can you make your own servers for friends to play on? Or is there a set number of persistent worlds to pick from so you're stuck playing with (and getting griefed by) randoms?

The devs have some official servers that you can play on or you can play on a private server. As far as I can tell, you create a new character for each server you play on (it's very RPG-like). It has some anti-griefing stuff like being able to lock your chests and stuff, but I don't know how well it all works. I'm playing on a friendly server :P

You can also play on a local / single player server, if you want. You can open the server up to others, but they must stay within a certain range of you and can only play when you're playing, of course.

If you see me playing sometime, I can broadcast on Steam, if you're interested. I'm a noob still :p

I may get the Humble Monthly since I was largely happy with this last one.

But right now, my HD space is at a premium, so that 40GB download for ARK is a big impediment.

I finally finished The Stick of Truth.

Moving onto the Sly Collection.

Speaking of which, I see that this is a compilation but also noticed it includes 'Sly Minigames' as a possible trophy set you can earn.

Should that be a part of the compilation?

I'm not sure, I'll have to look into it more. As a side-note, I had planned on bounty-ing up the Sly games since they're fun and I need to finish them :P

Awesome. I'll accept the bounties when they're added.

I'm about halfway through Brave Fencer Musashi and I'm going to try and finish it this weekend! I probably won't, but hey, that's my goal. I keep waiting for the Final Fantasy IX re-release on Steam and now I want to go back and finish Final Fantasy X since who knows when it will actually be released.

I am playing Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. Such a good game...yet so damn challenging, lol!

I think I'm going to go back and finish Sly 3 after this....I need something a bit more....easy/laid back as my next game.

Well, luckily I finished one of the games I mentioned in my previous post (Brave Fencer Musashi). Right now, I'm working on (and thoroughly enjoying) the new Ratchet & Clank game. I'm just about finished with it and should wrap it up tomorrow (day off, yay!) I started working on Phantasy Star IV last night and I'm enjoying it quite a bit as well, so I'll continue my quest this weekend.

I think my #1 "white whale" is Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. I reaaaaally need to play that game. So I think I'm going to start it this weekend. I have a few other smaller games I want to work on this weekend as well and if all goes according to plan (it won't), I'll close some of 'em out!

With a three day weekend looming, I'm gonna try to make some progress on my backlog! I had selected five (!!) games to focus on, but now I'm wavering on that. Here was my original list:

  • Kirby 64 - Playing it for the bounty and I'm on the last world.
  • Dark Savior - Sampled it the other day and loved it, definitely time for me to actually finish this one. I'll probably just do the "normal" parallel for now, at least I can say I beat it...assuming I don't get frustrated by the platforming hehe (which is a major part of the game).
  • Aliens vs. Predator - This is another bounty game, but also one that I still haven't managed to finish. It's tough, but I thought I'd give it one last go.
  • Resident Evil 3: Nemesis - I'm about 3 or 4 hours into it and just need to get back into it. I stopped playing because Nemesis was brutalizing me and I couldn't progress.
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - I finally played it the other day and I'm excited to see how it unfolds.

But now I seem to have talked myself into playing Banjo-Kazooie...AGAIN! I looooove that game and it's one of the few games I tend to replay over and over (hmm..I smell a stack coming). And then there's Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon to go along with the platformer theme. And Myth II: Soulblighter that I'm about halfway through. Ahhh, it's never-ending!!

Sooooo...what are you guys playing this weekend? :P

I finally finished my gaming setup! So now all my gear is in one location and I can pretty easily do my console/pc game recording.

So this weekend will involve some messing around making sure I've got all my capture software configured correctly (brief testing worked as intended, but well, there's always something that'll go awry!)

Been dying to play some Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth since it finally got released on ps4, but wanted to wait until I could do some recording. Not sure what else I might dive into, maybe finally hit up my Mission list and see what I can tackle in there.

@moho_00 Dark Savior!! That is a game I want SOOOO freaking bad. It looks right up my alley. I hope you like Uncharted, I know I did!!

@dhobo, are you live streaming or putting up youtube clips? I would love to check them out either way!!

As for me, I am going to try and finish up Kirby 64 as well (I'm on World 5). The only other games I will be playing will be Mario Marker (another live stream this Sunday night at 8 if anyone wants to watch haha!!) and just random games for footage for the new episode of DGR that I am working on!

It'll definitely be youtube videos to start off. Not sure my hardware will have the oomph for live streaming.

I'm working through three visual novels:

Root Double
Ozmafia
The House in Fata Morgana

I'd have beaten one or more already if it weren't for the fact that each is like 40+ hours apiece. Visual novels aren't always this long, but sometimes they are (or even longer). Then there is also OVERWATCH!! I'm having a great time with that one.

@WhitsEnd - I'm a HUGE Saturn fan, but for some reason, Dark Savior has always been the "odd man out" as far as the RPGs go. I've played it a couple of times over the years, but never made it anywhere. I remember seeing it in magazines and stuff back in the '90s and it looked great. I've heard the platforming elements are pretty rough...which is like most of the game haha. I figured it was time to see if I could handle it though!

@Marcus - Does Overwatch have ANY sort of single player? I'm so tempted, but I just never play multiplayer games like that. Although I did sink a ton of time into Team Fortress 2 when it came out.

@moho: No single player that I'm aware of. Heck, when you launch the game it tries to immediately queue you up for a multiplayer match.

There is "player vs AI" but I believe this is a human player team vs AI bots. Closer to single player, but not quite. I got Overwatch specifically because of its similarities to TF2 (which is one of my few multiplayer game obsessions).

I finished Kirby 64 last night, so I'm 1 for 5 so far and the weekend hasn't even started yet! Too bad that'll probably be the only one I actually finish...

Oooooh Dragon Quest VIII!! That game was so good. I was super excited for it and played Dragon Warrior VII right before it. So in total, I spent like 200ish hours playing those games in about a two month span. There were many late nights with Monster Assaults keeping me going hehe. Can't do that anymore :P
