To go along with the Autumn Steam Sale, we're giving away some Steam games! Each giveaway has its own thread with a simple question / challenge for you to complete. Really all you need to do is post in the thread and then I'll randomly select someone. In order to participate, you need to post by 11:59PM EST on 11/30/15. That gives you one more sale day, just in case you want to buy the game if you don't win it ;) I'll post in the thread once a winner has been randomly chosen and the gifts will be sent directly through Steam (unless you prefer email).

Grim Fandango is one of my favorite games of all time. It absolutely hooked me when I first played it in the late '90s. I've only played a little bit of the remastered version, but the memories started coming back. There are TONS of gems floating out there, so what are some games you'd like to see a remastered version of?

Wing Commander is one of my all time favorite games. I'd love a version of the originals with souped up graphics. The third and fourth Monkey Island games are up there too (especially if there's an option to skip the insanely annoying "Monkey Kombat" part of the fourth).

Buddy of mine has been waiting on remasters of monkey island 3 and 4 forever now as well. I think he brings it up at least once every month or so, lol

As for me, I've seen so many of my favourite classics remastered, reinvented, re-done, etc... and not always for the better. This kills the nostalgia.
However, one classic I love enough that I'd gamble my cherished memories in the hopes that a good remaster/remake was done would be StarTropics. Oddly enough, never did try the sequel. I should rectify that.

Ohhh man, StarTropics!! I had that game and in fact, still have my old boxed copy from when I was a kid! That game was HARD, but I finally managed to beat it. I wonder if the battery is still alive, I had a save right at the end. I bought a boxed copy of the sequel probably 10 years ago and I've yet to play it. Hmm...I smell a game club / challenge sometime...

I'd love to see a re-mastered version of Final Fantasy 6 and have it come to a system that isn't a handheld! I'm glad they are started to release the re-mastered Final Fantasy games on Steam or I don't know if I'd ever play them. Hell, I don't know if I'd ever play them anyway, but with them being on Steam, there is definitely a much better chance!

I'm also very happy to hear about Final Fantasy 7 getting some love and finally getting a re-master. The teaser they showed at the Sony E3 conference this past spring/summer gave me some chills!

With that being said, I'm not entering this giveaway as I already own it, but wanted to chime in anyway! :)

So final tally (unless I miscounted) was I won 3 (including 1 by default), dhobo won 3 (1 by default), jwcooley won 1.

Thank you very much for your generosity here, moho!

Haha having the somewhat symmetrical results made it easy on my symmetry OCD :P

So the way I came up with the winners was I rolled a D20 and the highest number won. My wife and I also use the same D20 to sometimes pick out a movie to watch, so it's really experienced in this sort of thing. Out of the 7 giveaways, only one had a tie, which was on a 17. I don't recall which game, but I remember the number...go figure.

I hope everyone enjoys their games and if you have any ideas for fun stuff we could do for the Winter sale, let me know!

Only thing I don't like about the gog.com sales is that oftentimes they block gifting. I was hoping to get a copy of Witcher 3 to a friend as an early Christmas gift, but nope.
