Thanks for accepting this bounty! Here you can talk with other bounty hunters as you progress through the game and keep everyone up to date on your progress.

Alrighty, I'll give this one a go! Gives me a good excuse to finally play the game.

I noticed that when I accepted the bounty that I needed to do a refresh on the bounty page. Not a big deal, but some kind of auto-refresh upon accepting would be a small improvement.

Hmm..it should've refreshed a portion of the screen. Specifically, the Accept Bounty button should've been replaced with the "Accepted" text and the "My Playthrough" section. Let me know if that didn't happen for you and what browser you're using (I'm on Firefox). The Hunters tab, count, etc aren't updating right now though, so I can add that to my list.

Oh and this game is great :)

Yep, those parts did auto-update! I should have been more specific, it was more that the Hunters section didn't update until I did a refresh.

This game is mercilessly confusing at first!

I feel that reading the instruction manual is a requirement going into this (which I clearly did not do.) The game goes from basic platformer controls to quasi-2d acrobatic flight controls. I thought the flight was 3d, like say, flying in Mario 64, so I was getting frustrated and thinking my controller wasn't configured properly because of how I was moving through the air.

Granted, after a few minutes of floundering, I got the controls down and the game mechanics figured out. The first boss fight was... different, not sure I like it yet. Next time I jump in, I'll be trying to do it skillfully rather than going in to simply learn, so I'll have a better judgement of the game after that play session, hopefully.

When I first played this game on Saturn, I wasn't too far removed from playing the Genesis-era Sonic games, so I didn't have much trouble. It's pretty much a really weird Sonic game where you fly instead of run (and therefore don't have to actually use loops...just make your own!) I remember being blown away by it since it was one of the first 3D games I ever played (I didn't have an N64 , PS1, or PC at the time).

I'm not particularly good at it in the sense of getting really high scores or anything, I just like to fly around grabbing stuff haha. The bosses are pretty neat since they're completely different from each other and the rest of the game. Sadly, there's just not enough content in the game and the Wii sequel was okay, but lacked the original's charm.

This game is infuriating at times. I usually reserve the kind of swearing I've been doing so far for less colourful games.

It's my fault for wanting to A-rank everything though.

All right, getting better at this. Getting some stages completed with A-ranks. I think my problem was that stupid dragon on the very first stage. It's very precise trying to get a quick-kill on it and it was really starting to get to me, so I moved on to do other stages.

Haha yeah, this game can be tough if you're going for great scores. I already have a completion time for this game, but I might have to load it up and fly around hehe.

I just finished the dreams but can't seem to get a rating above usually a D. Any tips? I'd like to access the last dream just to say I've done all the normal levels.

Get 20 orbs as fast as you can to get the Ideya from the robot-prison thing. Then keep cycling through the stage, avoiding the exit racking up as many points as you can from collecting orbs, stars, and going through rings. It's tricky at first, but once you learn a decent path for all 4 routes per stage, you can get a decent score on most of them. Repeat the loops as often as you can, just make sure you don't let the timer run out, obviously! The only challenging part after that is not mucking up the boss fight and trying to keep a decent multiplyer.

Any stage where you get the special rings that enable you to do stunts are GREAT for racking up points if you can get your acrobatic stunt combo maxed out (especially when you're holding the Ideya for double points)

To get a final A-Rank after the boss level, you don't need to have A-rank in all four sections. Just make sure your score is somewhere over 150,000 (after boss multiplyer) for the majority of levels. I think the first boy level needs more than that, and the final shared level needs significantly less.

Yeah, I think I'm done. Enjoyable game but definitely not something I'm strong at. I got through enough that I think I can say I've completed it.

Score, got all of the girl's side A-ranked, now to work on the boy's side! His first level's a bit of a pain though.

and there we go! A-Ranked everything I could find in the game, including the goofy Christmas recolour content. Not sure what this last feature is that I unlocked, something about Nightopians? You can actually do stuff with those? Huh.

Agreed, very nice job, @dhobo!! I still want to load it up and play around a bit, it's been a while since I played Nights :D

Thanks, this game went from frustrating to pretty fun. Aiming for A-Ranks was just the right challenge level for me which was a nice surprise.

So the Nightopian thing is kind of interesting. Those weird angel things that fly around can breed in levels and lay eggs. They can also cross-breed with enemies if you throw an enemy into one of them. Apparently if you can make them all happy and get lucky with cross-breeding, you get a special king version that hatches who will build a structure within that stage.

That is absolutely nuts that they would add something like this to the game. It has zero impact on anything and yet it's so convoluted and detailed, lol. Needless to say, I'm putting that aspect of this one on the backburner (if I ever decide to putter with it at all)
