Thanks for accepting this bounty! Here you can talk with other bounty hunters as you progress through the game and keep everyone up to date on your progress.

I tried out this game the other night and it seemed pretty cool. It's on sale for $0.49, so I figured I'd create a bounty for it!

Even better, showing up as $0.25 for me, haha. Price of one play of an old-school arcade game.

Nice!! For a quarter, I don't think you can go wrong :P I like the grindy / upgrade / RPG aspect of it. Now I can mask my poor shmup skills by getting the best equipment hehe.

I've played for a couple of hours so far and it's a pretty fun game. There are some balancing issues that has led to a lot of grinding, but maybe I'm just really bad at the game. I actually lowered the difficulty down to Easy since there didn't seem to be any bonus to scrap in the higher difficulties. I'll grind on Easy and then bump it back up later on.

I've found that plasma weapons are probably the best for the way I play, but I didn't realize that early on and burned some perks on stuff I didn't need. Kinda sucks you can't re-spec and the perks only come every few levels.

I started off trying to focus on beam weapons, because lazors pewpewpew. That was a mistake.

Ended up going with starting weapons in every single slot until side slots were unlocked. The forward firing bullets wreck everything with impunity, ground and sky. By the time I beat the last level, I insisted on a death ray since I wasted all those perks in beam weaponry, the rest of the forward slots were basic guns, and my two side slots were spinner guns with their auto-aim.

Not declaring it complete though, as I still have plenty of achievements to earn as well as playing through the +1 mode I unlocked (effectively ng+ with much higher difficulty.) Should keep me going for another few hours this week.

Fun little game, definitely worth more than the $0.25 I paid for it, but it has its flaws. Few graphics glitches here and there, sound hiccups especially when you nuke and destroy a lot of things at once, and as you mentioned, the balancing needs work. So many different guns and the basic ones are the best! How lame! haha

edit: for a small chunk of cash in under 2 minutes, do the boss rush. First one is an easy 12k scrap I believe. Can't remember the second boss rush numbers, but it was pretty easy too.

double edit: the game tried to lock up my entire system when I quit! It really didn't want me to stop playing I guess.

I bought a beam weapon early on as well and it did not work out nearly as well as I had hoped. I haven't put any perks on them though. Skirmish mode is pretty cool, I've finished the first 3 boss rushes. This is about the only shoot 'em up that I can complete a boss rush on ;)

When I stopped playing last night, it locked up on me as well. I had to manually kill it from task manager. It's only happened once in the 4-5 times I've opened the game.

Alright, this one's completionated! Finished the +1 campaign, got all the various vs mode and battle chain achievements. Everything's done! Huzzah! Was definitely a fun game overall, the difficulty really ramps up and the chain battles are pretty fun, even playing against yourself, as it just gets more and more crazy with each successive victory against your previous run.

I ended up completionating this one as well! I did the battle chain stuff last and I agree, those were pretty fun, even solo! Not bad for a game that I don't even remember buying (must've been in a bundle) and didn't know anything about until I was looking for short games to bounty up haha.

I have to say, this bounty thing has really had me playing a lot of different games I may or may not have got around to playing for some time. I'm actually really enjoying the whole variety thing going on.

Agreed! I would've never played Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, Crimzon Clover, Revolution Ace, or Santa's Rampage if it weren't for the bounties. Metal Slug was on my "to play soon" list, so it doesn't count...but then again, it's been on that list for like two years. So maybe it does count.

It will be interesting to see how things go as bigger games are added and consoles are introduced into the mix (which is probably happening today hehe). So far it's been all Steam games, though I'm sure there will always be a healthy dose of those posted since it's such a popular platform.

I just finished it on my first way through. I love this game. I'm pretty terrible at it but am going to play through it again in the 1+ campaign. The last boss had me on my toes but I got 'em!
