Accepted this as I'm actually playing through this one right now! Never played a Sly game until today and so far it's a blast.

This is a very enjoyable game that has aged fairly well. It's not very challenging, but has its moments. And apparently it's easy to get a platinum trophy on since I didn't try for it and didn't even know I had gotten one until @jwcooley told me I did last night haha

I got past the first frog boss. This is a pretty fun game.

I just made it past the Crocodile boss. I've got to say that she was probably the most annoying one just because of how far back you had to go if you messed up. Still super easy.

Yeah, that boss fight was really annoying. The last boss is kinda the same way.

Just finished the Panda. Probably my favorite boss battle yet in the game. I'm onto the last stage. The positive is that I read that you don't have to find any more of the clues in the last area so it should go a little bit faster.

Also, @Moho - I couldn't open the last vault because it said I need to defeat some bird or something. Any tips?

Nevermind. Figured it out. Found all clues, opened all safes.

I finished this tonight. The last boss was easy but VERY annoying. One screw up and you had to start ALL the way over. If it wasn't for some of the stupid design choices like how you had to start so far back, I probably would have given this a 9. Oh well, still a really fun game.

I like how after you finish the game the incentive to do the time trials is to unlock behind the scenes commentary/videos! Yeah, like that'll make me want to go and do those! haha

Now onto Sly 2!

I tried to warn you about the last boss ;) I agree though, aside from some very odd / frustrating difficulty spikes, the game is fantastic and has held up very well. And it's not that I'm opposed to a tough boss fight, but those just felt cheap and maybe even unfinished (which is odd since the rest of the game is really polished).
