The last time I beat this game was maybe 20 years ago. I have had it on my Wii for several years and have played it a lot but haven't beaten it again. Hopefully I'll get some time to beat this one again. The goal is with no warping. I'm usually good until world 7. That world always whips me.

Now I really want to get my NES working again (stupid life, stop getting in the way of my hobbies!) It's been at least a decade since I played this fantastic game.

Oh, kudos to whoever takes this one. I got it for my birthday the year it came out and it took me a solid year to beat it. (World 8 still makes me angry. :) After about ten or fifteen years, I fired it up just to see if it still irritated me... it only took level 1-1 to remind me that yes, yes it does.

It's an excellent game! I just can't stand it anymore. g

It's been a long time since I've played this one as well. I beat the port they made on the GBA when it first came out, so that sorta counts, I guess. I agree with you guys though, this game gets tough!

Just finished this one after playing 4 hours 20 minutes over two days (The Wii saves your spot when you return to the Wii menu, thank goodness.) I'm calling this game completionated since I got through it without warping. I enjoyed playing this classic all over again.

That's awesome. Such a terrific game. I am pretty sure I played through it several times back when it came out.
