Alright so I just wanted to add Genesis games that I have in ROM form into my backlog, so I type in every name that is in the database (Had to not add a few because they simply weren't in like Splatterhouse 2 and 3). So I find out that there is no selectable digital provider so I'm going "Oh well no biggie, I can just let it autoselect digital". Nope. It thinks its physical, so now my profile thinks I have over 100 physical Genesis games when around here, you're lucky to find one. Why can't I select "Emulator" or something for digital |

When you select the Digital format, you're not required to select a provider, but the game will still be marked as "Digital". However, the bulk import doesn't allow you to select "Physical" or "Digital", so if you don't pick a provider (which is impossible for Genesis, as you mentioned), the games will go in as Physical. I can modify the bulk import so it provides a clear choice of physical vs. digital (much like the game add / edit screens) to handle this scenario. I'm not a big fan of adding an "Emulator" provider since it's supposed to be for storefronts, but I think the aforementioned change should handle your scenario. Does that sound good to you? |
