I'm considering this bounty, but I wonder how much I suck at old school Sonic these days? |

I'm having a tough time with this one. I'm an hour in and at stage three but this game has really been kicking my butt. I can barely keep hold of my rings and it's about impossible to get any emeralds. I have such a hard time getting those blue spheres. Also, the game doesn't hand out extra lives very much so you're pretty much stuck with 3 or 4 lives unless you can hold on to your rings.

Ouch, that doesn't bode well for me and my surely diminished Sonic skillz :P The only one on the Genesis that I finished was Sonic 2. It was the only game I had on the system for a long time, which allowed me to get pretty good at it haha. I've beaten a few of the 3D games like Sonic Adventure (and DX), Sonic Colors, and Sonic Generations. One of these days, I'm going to put my Neo Geo Pocket Color to use and play the Sonic game on there. |

Nope, this one isn't happening haha. It definitely seems harder than Sonic 2, but it's been so long since I've played that, so who knows. It seemed to have a bit more platforming than I recall the old Sonic games having. I remember just speeding through the levels most of the time. |

Well I failed this bounty too. I actually made it to the final boss but couldn't finish him in time. The game got easier after the first couple of stages and I was able to get to the last level fairly quickly. The problem is I have spent over an hour trying to beat the last boss. It sucks because all I needed was two more hits and he would have been gone. I got too frustrated and gave up. I'll try again soon and should be able to knock this one out. |

Got any "easy" Sega bounty suggestions? ;) I'm considering Vectorman, but I remember it being really hard haha There are lots of good ones on the Saturn and Dreamcast, but based on the data here on the site, it doesn't look like many people have them (Die Hard Arcade and Dynamite Cop stand out)

Yep. I have heard it is super easy and actually able to be beat. I'm not sure if the original is that way or not. |

I FINALLY got through this one. It took me a total of 4 hours. I should have beaten this in 3 hours instead of 4 but I had a hard time with the final boss. The final boss is fairly easy but I just couldn't get the timing right. Overall I thought it was a good game, but I still prefer Sonic 1 and 2 over this one. I didn't get a single emerald. The bonus stages are extremely hard. You have to have very quick hand eye coordination to get any of them. On to Sonic CD...

Congrats! It's been a while since I played it, but I remember Sonic CD being a lot easier than what I played of Sonic 3. |
