What do you do with games in your collection on here that you don't want to play? Do you still list them as 'incomplete'? Meaning, they're perfectly able to be beaten but I have no interest in doing so....

I thought about using the N/A drop-down...but not sure if I feel 'right' about that, haha.

Usually I leave them as incomplete. The only time I mark something as N/A basically is if it is something which I believe to be a never-ending game or something of that sort. I don't think it is fair to N/A something just because I believe I'll never ever beat the darn game. That's just me :P.

We've talked about adding a "Retired" progress status that might work for this. It's on my task list, just a matter of getting around to it :P

Everything that I haven't played through completely is considered to be on my backlog. Taunting me.

Secret of the Magic Crystals, Shower With Your Dad Simulator, Hatoful Boyfriend, etc... games I would never really play, but received as joke gifts (or part of bundles) are going to haunt me for all eternity. :P

Shower With Your Dad Simulator is surprisingly very entertaining :P

I have about 400-500 games on steam that were never installed once. Mostly due to my 300 gig bandwidth limit and limited hdd space but also just not enough time. There is very possibly at least a good 40 games i have that i have no intention of playing.

Not only do I have games in my Steam library that I'll never play...I have lots of games I've never even heard of! That's what I get for buying so many bundles, I suppose :P

I'd like a Retired flag. I want to keep everything in my game library reflected in my collection, but there are some games I'll just never play anymore. So many years of steam sales have resulted in some games that I have no interest in, but they came in a bundle or were given away for free.

The Retired flag is a great idea. Something that marks them as either 'No thanks from the get-go' or 'Tried it, hated it' would be awesome.

For the next release, I'm going to add two new progress status options: 1) Retired; 2) Never Playing.

This is a surprisingly impactful change since we have a lot of reports that break these down in certain ways, so I need to go through each page that's affected and make sure they're displaying properly. Once the change is live, definitely let me know if you guys see anything weird or feel statistics should be rolled up / displayed differently.

Hmm...so I thought I'd need to update things like the My Overview and My Stats pages because they break down the progress status, but now I'm not so sure. For example, on the My Overview page, the Collection Overview section shows your progress for each platform. Do you guys think these new status should be represented here or should it be more for how you're progressing in completing your games? I omit N/A games in a number of places (including the aforementioned section) since you've specified that you're not planning on "completing" the game. With Retired and Never Playing, you've also chosen to not complete the game, so maybe they shouldn't be included?

I could see adding these (or at least Retired) on the Game Details page so you could see how many users have retired the game after starting it or something.

I tend to buy things with the intention of playing them. However one game that I can think of that meets this criteria for me is Castlevania: Judgement. I purchased this back when I lived in GA and had more time to play games. I saw this and thought, Castlevania ? Good. Fighting games ? Good. So I figured Good + Good would AT LEAST yield Fair.... right? WRONG. I played it for literally 5 minutes and never again. @moho_00, and @jwcooley I actually do want to play this now because I want to add it to a list for a terrible games night. What do you think ?

Speaking of bad games, @darthbob200 - you should enter your completion time for Shaq Fu that we demolished. You could also enter your time for Contra (not a bad game, but still...the guy did finish the game and I drank a nasty ass mini Corona beer for thinking he couldn't do it)

I might just delete them rather than even bother with making that decision at all. I've been tempted to ask Steam support to just delete Aura...

I consider both to be unplayably broken...

ELRinely - If you're tired of seeing these games on your Steam library you can actually make them "hidden." Well, there's a way to delete them forever from your library too but I'm not sure how to do that.

As far as hiding is concerned, just right click on the title in your list of games then Set Category. There's a little checkbox at the bottom which says to hide the game. Dunno if that's what you meant you wanted (or to get the game removed from Steam entirely - but that would be harder I think!).

It is actually very simple to remove a Steam game from your library completely, all but for one...Dota 2. Well I guess I should say, for me at least. I bought an Alienware X51 with all the fixings, and it came preinstalled with Steam and Dota 2. I tried it for a bit, but I realized I don't really like MOBA games, and I spent quite awhile trying to get it removed from my library (not just hidden). It's gone now from my library, but on my profile page under my games it is still factored in. I learned it's because of the preinstallment (which kind of sucks for me).

But if you are interested in wanting to remove a game from the library / profile page, I can elaborate more on how :)
