Hopefully this is a good place for this! I've only recently joined this site and I'm really digging it so far. I hope to stick around and watch it grow and become my hub for everything: tracking, backlogging, information, pricing, etc. Anyway, I've recently been interviewing collectors ( of mainly video games) on my podcast and it has met decent praise and I'm proud of it so far. I've had the opportunity to discuss my favorite hobby and meet some really awesome people. If anyone here is a seasoned collector who thinks they may be able to share some unique perspectives, tips of the trade, culture, or ideas about collecting and wants to be a guest on the podcast, please let me know! I'm always looking for new people to chat with! The requirements are basically what I listed above and that you have Skype (audio only) and the ability to record your own audio to send to us as backup. If you'd like to hear some examples of episodes we've done, check out the Collect Call episodes listed here: http://polykill.libsyn.com/ |

Hey Travis! Glad you are enjoying the site!! I myself am fairly new as well (started using near the end of February) but the users here are so welcoming and friendly, I feel like I have been using it much longer! That being said, I have checked out your podcasts and they are fantastic!! Very entertaining and easy to listen to. I would definitely be willing to be interviewed if you so wanted. Myself and my father-in-law have a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzg5UMJ62uoKHTkq5bgkp5g) so it might be cool if you interviewed us both at the same time (again assuming you would want to interview us haha). If you want to discuss a little more, please feel free to email me at dgw143@gmail.com and we can talk a little bit more!! Thanks for the awesome opportunity! |

Travplaysgames, nice podcast that you've got going! It's always fun to find a new one to listen to. I would be willing to participate in an episode sometime, if interested. My main focus is PS2 collecting (going for a complete NTSC set), but I also do some genre collecting stuff as well (visual novels, rhythm games, etc). |

Travis I finished up the survey last night and will be getting my father in law Dan to fill it out soon as well! Just for clarification, the survey asked if I collect for a specific console and I put no...but I am however going for a complete N64 collection. That is however not the only thing I am collecting but I just wanted to clarify for you :) Really looking forward to participating in this podcast, you do an awesome job with them!! |

I'm a little late on this, but I finished the rest of it. Professional quality work, you guys should be proud! It only made me consider how neat it would be to have an active podcast for Completionator... |

Thanks Doberman! I cringe when I listen to them.. I still can't get past my own voice and how I sound like a slightly less enthusiastic Gomer Pyle but I guess that's part of it. Everyone I've interviewed has been awesome though and it's been a blast. The hardest thing about a podcast is sticking to a schedule. If you can manage that, I say go for it! |

@travplaysgames: I think we're all kind of voice-conscious like that to a degree, it's actually for a scientific reason (our voices seem deeper to ourselves because of the vibrations through our bones, so listening to a recording always makes it seem "higher") but I think you sounded just fine! And in the past for other fan groups I've been a part of podcasts only in the backdrop, but I'm pretty familiar with how to put it altogether. I think it might not be a bad idea for this site considering there are a lot of dynamic changes happening constantly, tons of new games that are added, bounties and missions could provide some user content...I'm really just brainstorming here, but it stemmed from being satisfied with your podcast! |
