This is just an idea I had this morning. It would be cool to have the ability to convert a Stack into a 'Quest' (a.k.a. list of games you want to complete, perhaps with some thematic element) and then have some sort of progress tracker on completing those games.

Even further into that, it'd be great to be able to not only create your own quests, but also accept other peoples' quests. For example, if someone makes a "10 Best Classic RPG's on PC" list, then they could track their progress on completing those 10 games, and other users could accept the quest to track their progress on that list.

Just a thought, figured I'd toss it out there :)

I've been thinking about this idea more, and it wouldn't need to be anything complicated, but maybe just some stats on Stacks pages? Maybe when you view a Stack, there's an area that shows your completion/ownership statistics for that stack? Again, just some thoughts. I'm motivated by lists for some dumb reason so that's why it comes to mind.

I think the idea of adding some kind of additional functionality to Stacks could be interesting. It's a pretty barebones site feature as it stands now (given it's newness and "beta" status, this is understandable.)

Granted, being able to create quests sounds more like a multiple Bounties feature so I wonder if it couldn't be made into some kind of hybrid. Like you could create a Stack, perhaps have an option to post it either as a simple list (as it stands now as a feature) or post it as a user-made bounty list. It's already got a comments section built-in, so people could discuss their progress and such. Could be a neat approach building towards more user-generated content rather than everything coming from moho_00/curators.

Here's a thought, though I'm not sure how well it pertains to the original concept of this thread...

Having stats on the Stacks page reminds me of what IMDB does when you look at lists. Basically, if you're logged in and use the site to rate movies/mark them as watched then these tidbits of info are brought over when you look at someone else's list. The sidebar will show how many of the movies from the list you've rated so far, and on the movie listing itself will also say what you rated stuff - if you did indeed rate a film.

We could tweak this so that instead of just tabulating how many games you've rated, it would have a sidebar counter stating you've already played X amount of games from the Stack.

I like what @Marcus is saying...some kind of visual key to the Stack list that users could reference in order to view what has been completed and to what degree.
