Well, the controls in this game are abysmal.

Absolutely. My favorite car as far as handling goes is the Beater. It's unlocked later, but there's a code to get them all unlocked at once if you want (presumably codes for PC version too but I didn't find them). http://www.ign.com/cheats/games/hooters-road-trip-ps-491765

Also, don't be confused like I was... In order to do a full cross-country road trip you have to select Road Trip mode and do it six times. Each time you complete it successfully it'll move to the next trip, aka Road Trip 2.

The only thing this game does is make me want Hooters wings....damn it.

So in all seriousness - Can you actually finish this one?

I just finished it this morning. You can finish it by completing all 6 road trips. I unlocked / licensed like 12-14 cars, I think? The booklet says there are 16, so not sure how to get the rest (I assume you have to play on Hard). The game kinda reminded me of a crossover between Ridge Racer and Outrun, but is nowhere near as good as those. In fact, I fear I have sullied both of those names by even comparing them to this dreck.

Despite all that, I still had some enjoyment, but only because I looooove arcade racers :P
