I just sort of noticed this as I was commenting on Stacks... It is 12:59 A.M. on 8/18/2016. I post on a stack and it says it is 4 hours ahead of that time. I checked my settings and I'm on the right time zone...I even tried the other Eastern timezone (not U.S.). No change in what I see for the date/timestamp. Any ideas why my posts are getting a future date/timestamp? |

Just did it again....it was probably 10:05 P.M. EST on 8/22/2016 and when I posted on a Stack, this is the Date/Timestamp: 8/23/16 2:05:49 Any ideas why it's putting future date/time on these posts? |

It's because it's stored in UTC on the server. This happened when we switched servers a couple of years back and was ultimately why I added the timezone selection. I wanted to fix it last weekend, but didn't have time. It's on my list, but it'll be a few weeks until I'm able to get to it. |
