Nope never played it before, in fact I've never played any Legacy of Kain. Finally got my PSX emulator running, so figured I'd jump in on this :)

I had it when I was a kid and got pretty far in it, but I remember it getting rather difficult. I've played it a few times over the years, but never got as far as I did back in the '90s. So far it seems easier than I remember, but I'm only about 3 hours in and just defeated the first boss. The only issues I have with it is the framerate can get kinda bad and the load times are unusually lengthy. The gameplay is pretty solid, the story is excellent, and the music perfectly captures the atmosphere.

I've actually never finished a Legacy of Kain game, despite loving the lore and spending a decent amount of time with this one, Soul Reaver, and Blood Omen 2. I'm looking forward to getting this one in the books!

I'm stalled right now since I've been playing Threads of Fate. And then I started playing Pokemon Snap yesterday (terrible idea, great game). And Dragon Quest Builders comes out tomorrow.

I WILL beat this game though. @jwcooley, you should come over and we can binge play it together.

I've only finished the first area so far. Was on vacation last week, and Undying finally went on sale on GOG so picked that up and played that this weekend lol. Working on so many bounties right now, but I fully intend to complete them all! Even if not on time... lol

I am right up to Nuprator. I think I'm at the save point right before I fight him.

Now that I've finally finished SOTN, this is going to be what I work on. I will finish it this time!

Well glitches with the emulator were making this unplayable, so I backed out of the bounty and I'll have to tackle it some other time :( Twas a great game though, what I could play of it.

It's crazy. It is a game that for whatever reason doesn't sound good to play when I'm NOT playing it. But then I load it up and I have a blast with it!

I just need to load it up put it in the 'Finished' column.

It's funny you say that, because I know exactly what you mean! I won't say I've been avoiding it, but I took a month long break between play sessions. I always thought about picking it back up and certainly have always had every intention of finishing it while it's a bounty. But I always seem to come up with an excuse to not play it. No more. I will either finish this game or I'm selling it. My childhood deserves closure on this matter!

I hit a few goals last night by defeating Malek, finding the axes, and learning Stun (which is amazing). I wasted about 20 minutes after the Malek fight because I keep forgetting to actually activate those stupid bat towers! I ultimately had to load my last save game because I think I screwed up. I couldn't figure out how to progress and I think it's because you can't actually get to that teleporter after the Malek fight, at least not after the first time. Nevertheless, I beat him AGAIN and finally moved forward

I know it's an older game, but I wish it did a better job of tracking secrets. There are 100 of them and I will find them randomly and not even realize it since the game doesn't tell you.

Yeah, the secrets are awful. I never know what is a secret.

Last night was a dud on the gaming front. Hoping for some time tonight.

So I found the mist ability last night....finally. I'm getting close to where I made it in high school. I know I made it to Vorador and that seems to be where the game is leading me next. I don't think I made it much further than that.

Finally got back into this one for a little while last night. Beat the boss that pulls up the ground and makes water appear and the other boss that has the balls floating around her for protection. I beat them and then quit.

@Moho - Any idea how close I am to the end?

I would say you still have 2-4 hours left.

I absolutely HATE the fact that you can't cast spells or use items when you have a two-handed weapon. It makes sense (sort of), but it's frustrating as heck.

Oh, in other news, I did manage to go ahead and install Blood Omen 2....No idea if I'll play it but thought installing it might give me some incentive.
