So now we know there's a slim due out next week and the PS4 Pro due out in November. Anyone planning to get one or the other? The pricing on the Pro seems pretty reasonable to me, but doesn't appeal to me enough to warrant "upgrading" yet based on what I've seen so far. |

Not really. Then again, I'm not really the demographic this is targeting. I have a PS4 but spend the vast majority of my gaming time on PC, after all. With that said, I'm a little disappointed that VR will run apparently significantly better on the system... but it makes sense. Just as long as the VR stuff on regular PS4 runs well. |

Pro is interesting if you have it hooked up to a 4K \ HDR TV, and if you are after slightly better performance. |

I'm probably going to stick with my regular PS4 for now. I'm really interested in PSVR, but since it's going to be impossible to get it for a while, I'll just wait to upgrade. I'm intrigued by the slim as well since I always prefer smaller consoles to save space :) |

I think the only way I would be interested in this is if Sony figured out how to implement some sort of true backwards compatibility. Otherwise, it's not enough to warrant a trade in to get either the Slim or the Pro. However, I do believe that this is good for people who don't own the system. |

We actually just got a 4K TV and blu ray player, and 4K content to view on them is rather lacking. I'll probably go for the PS4 Pro when there is a decent selection of games that take advantage of the 4K features. |

It seemed exciting when I first read about the Pro and VR, but now I don't really seem to be that enthusiastic about it. This is probably because I don't really like the PS4 that much (and I'm a hardcore Sony guy, so that's saying something). I just am not a big fan of the whole interface setup, or how they push the social media stuff so hard. I don't see this ever going away though, so it's whatever. I feel like the accessibility of the system isn't very user friendly, so it diminishes my desire to play on it for a long time. Like @Marcus said, I spend a lot more time on PC anyway, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. The VR stuff seems cool, but I'm going to wait a few more years to see where that goes. I would rather spend that amount of money on a new graphics card, considering those never go out of style :P. Also, the "slim" model of PS4 doesn't seem to be that much "slimmer" than the current one that I already own. I'm a little upset about that because if it was a bit smaller, than it would be a lot more comfortable to implement it into my setup of things. But oh well...
