It would be neat to be able to subscribe to threads and get a notification when someone posts something on them. PD: If this is already implemented and I'm completely blind, please tell me. |

It's not, and I would really love to see subscription features implemented as well. With all the new data floating around, it can be really easy to miss out on a particular thread/post. So I second this. |

There should be a notification already for new profile comments that shows up on the left menu. As for being able to subscribe to forums threads, I agree, it would be a nice feature. |

I'd like to add functionality to detect when there are new responses in threads (i.e. track when you view each thread). I think that could work alongside a system like this, so it's just a matter of figuring out how it should be done and what it looks like :P |

A suggestion- another site that I use that has a major collection tracking component is Ravelry.com, which I know was built from scratch. It also has some of the best forums I have ever encountered. The dev has a tech blog where he talks about how he built the site, design philosophy, things like that. He also might be interested in chatting about it with someone who is doing something similar, but that I can't vouch for personally. The collections aren't the same, but the underlying crunch is similar, so might be worth a look. |

Just gonna bump this: as far as I know there's no such thing yet. But it would be nice to have a system where pinging someone (@moho_00) for example then notifies the person pinged... I'm not sure what the current 'notifications bell' in the top right corner does but this could work nicely with that. |

+1 for this idea. At the moment the forum is very bare-bones in terms of functionality. Missing features: |
