GOG is having a great sale and I thought it would be a good time to hand out some keys to classic games! These are games that are lined up for a bounty in the future, so maybe this will encourage some brave warriors :)

Talk about perfect timing! Killing Time was just released on GOG today and I couldn't resist including it with these giveaways. I remember seeing this game in various magazines around the time of its release and was blown away by the blending of FMV and FPS gameplay elements. I didn't own a 3DO and by the time I got a PC, that version was nowhere to be found. Even to this day, I don't think I've ever actually seen this game in a store. A few years ago, I picked up the 3DO version and was super excited to play it....until I got in there and realized the framerate is abysmal. I purchased this one for myself today and plan on trying it out very soon and hopefully that issue has been resolved!

To enter this giveaway, you'll need to post your thoughts on FMV games. I'll randomly choose a winner from those that post. You'll just need to post by 11:59pm EST on 11/19/16 to enter.

PS If you win the key, you're not under an obligation to actually accept the bounty, but it's strongly encouraged

I'm stoked for all these upcoming bounties. This game particularly looks awesome.

I adore FMV games, and FMV adventure games is really what I mainly played when I was young, before Age of Empires came out and then I was hooked on strategy. Also, the cheesier the better.

FMV games are fantastic and I love the mini resurrection they're having lately. I know that most are pretty hokey, but that's part of the charm! There's still room for really serious FMV titles, and sometimes they do work really well. Some of my favorite FMV games these past few years have been Contradiction and Her Story.

Apparently the PC version is drastically different from the 3DO version, so I'm going to be loading in a separate entry soon. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the GOG version to work properly :(

I also really liked Her Story, although it was a bit frustrating the way it was laid out to get some kind of coherent story out of the whole thing. Still nothing compares to the utter cheese of the early FMVs like Dragon's Lair (awesome), Space Ace (also awesome), and on the other end of the spectrum, so-bad-they're-good titles like Night Trap, lol
