I know we've had some discussions around this game before, but I just played the demo on PS4 and I think I'm actually excited for a Resident Evil game again. Has anyone else played it yet and if so, what were your thoughts?

I tried out the demo and it seemed neat, but obviously very much unlike a typical RE game. Interested to see how the full game stacks up when it's out.

I haven't tried it yet. I know I need to at some point.

The footage I've seen reminds me of Outlast or Amnesia. Does the actual gameplay seem like that?

I'm holding off on playing this one as well, at least until I finish up some last minute things on Resident Evil 5 (it will keep me in the "mood" to give this one a try).

I have scoped out some footage of the game, however. Myself, I'm a bit of a purist with the series, so I'm not sure how I feel about the new FPS approach. I really enjoy the classic "tank" styled controls (it's a love / hate thing, but after many years you start to get used to them) so now I kind of feel like all skill acquired up to this point is thrown out the window. Not really a "bad" thing, just a "new" thing. I guess we see how it all stacks up.
