Hello All, I'm adding in my 2600 collection and to make it easier I'm using the "Quick Add" function. Well to make it easier I select the platform to be the 2600 and I type in a common game like "Enduro" and it comes up no results. If I take off the platform selection and re-enter "Enduro" it comes up with the 2600 game. Is this function properly and I'm just using it wrong or is this something that needs worked on? Thanks. |

If I understand you correctly, you're on the Browse Games page and setting the platform filter to Atari 2600, is that correct? If so, then I know what's happening. In order for the platform filter to work, we have to have the data that ties a platform to a game (i.e. a release date). This data is manually entered since we haven't found a reliable source for the way we're modeling the data here, so unfortunately, it can be very inconsistent when using the platform filter. As a side-note, if you're entering a bunch of games for a particular platform, you could try using the Bulk Import option, which is found under the Actions menu on your Collection page. Or if you prefer to enter them one-by-one (which allows you to fill out some additional data at the time of entry), if you go to your Account Settings page, you can set up a default platform to speed up entry a wee bit. |

Correct, I'm at the Browse Games page and the filter set to Atari 2600. I type in "Enduro" into the "Search Keyword" text field and I get "There were no games matching your search criteria" but if I take the Atari 2600 filter off, the game appears. So maybe it's just not entered properly. I'll be sure to check out the Bulk Import option. Seems like a faster way than I'm doing it! |

Yeah, it's a matter of it not having a complete entry yet. Updating the database entries manually takes a lot of time and is sporadic at best as the work is spread out amongst a number of curators with varying free time at their disposal. |
