As much as I love the Zelda franchise, I have never beat this game without aid of save states in an emulator. I am trying this one using the virtual console version and no cheating. We'll see how it goes.

I've never finished this game, with or without save states :( I was hoping to jump on this bounty before Breath of the Wild, but alas, it was not meant to be. One of these days, though...

I'm going for the second quest in my playthrough. I know you can just jump straight to it by entering Zelda as your name but I'm going for the double playthrough. This is going to be fun.

At one point, I could play this game from start to finish (Original Quest) in something like three hours, from memory. That's what happens when it's your first NES game. :D Good times. I hope somebody took this one up; classic Zelda has a feel that the games just lost for me when they went to 3D.

I felt like we made good progress on our first swing at this moho_00. Think we can put Ganon away soon?
