This game seems really massive, but I've put together some goals for my playthrough. I manually entered all of this, so hopefully I don't have too many typos. For now, this list contains all shrines, side quests, towers, and fairy fountains. It does NOT include anything related to the main quest since I don't want to be spoiled by looking up goals :P It also does not include finding the Korok Seeds (of which there are 900), playing mini games, upgrading your inventory, etc. I guess what I'm saying is, there's a whole lot more to the game than what these 216 goals cover hehe. Acquired the Spirit Orb in the Akh Va'quot Shrine

I'm 10 hours in now and am still having a great time with it. I've collected a total of 7 orbs and have done a few side quests. I'm doing my best not to spoil the game by not watching any videos or looking at any pictures. I have no idea what to expect in this game. I have no idea if there will be any dungeons or major boss fights. I'm beginning to see how huge this world is. Everything you see can be explored. Every mountain can be climbed. It really does feel like I'm actually in the land of Hyrule. |

After not being able to play this one for a couple of weeks, I've started to get back into it. I'm about 23 hours into it now and I feel like I've barely done anything. Here's a rough progress report:
I've mostly been working on finding the towers and hitting any shrines I find along the way. Once I get the map uncovered and explore all of the pins / stamps I've put on the map, I might actually get back to the story

I finished this game off on 3/10 after playing it nearly nonstop since the midnight release of the Switch and the game. My thoughts as I went (spoilers): http://merph.net/blog/?tag=the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild My final stats: |

I'm 42 hours in and am just now getting into my second divine beast. I have mainly just been exploring and not sticking to the story too much yet. My strategy has been to just walk around and if I get to a part that advances a story, great, if not, that's great too. I think I have cleared around 27 shrines, uncovered about half of the map and picked up about 22 seeds. I did come across something really cool but I'm not strong enough to get it yet. Losing my horse probably has a lot to do with it taking so long for me too. I've been traveling most of the map on foot. |

I keep having non-gaming stuff to do (i.e. not fun stuff) and therefore haven't been able to play much lately. I did, finally, play for a few hours yesterday and I'm about 31 hours into the game. I've mainly been continuing the approach that I outlined in my last post, which is to activate the towers and complete any shrines I happen to find on the way. I'm happy to report I finally activated the last tower yesterday! I'm not sure how many shrines I've completed, but my last post said 23, so I'm probably around 30 or so. I started working on the second divine beast quest, but I haven't even made it to the beast itself yet. I'm hoping to get back to it this weekend! |

Okay, I'm finally back into the game and I plan to stay in it until I finish it! I'm nearly 40 hours in and I've still only defeated one divine beast. I actually got to Thunderblight Ganon, but he absolutely wrecked me. I've tried getting some new gear and that did absolutely nothing. I'm gonna have to figure something out there. In the meantime, I've been running around completing some side quests and just generally exploring the land some more. Here are some updated stats:

I feel my time in Hyrule is coming to an end. I've defeated all four divine beasts and I'm on the doorstep of Ganon (I think?) It's been a fun ride, but at nearly 60 hours, I'm ready to close out the main story. The side quests are generally pretty good and much more interesting than most open world games, but there's just soooo maaaaany of them. I've also found all of the shrines I'm likely to find without pulling up a map online. I did use a map to find the few memories I was unable to find, only to find out that two of them were very close to Hyrule Castle, which I had completely avoided haha. Anyways, this has been a fantastic game and I might continue playing later on down the line (like when the DLC hits), but I'm ready to move on after I wrap up the story. |

Congrats on finishing the game moho! I'm still taking the slow and steady approach to the game. I'm about 58 hours in and still only have two divine beasts freed. I'm going to tackle a third one soon. I've mainly been exploring and collecting a ton of stuff and completing shrines. I have two or three other towers to unlock still. I feel like I need to get through this one soon as well. I have been neglecting other games that desperately need my attention. |

75 hours in and am in the 4th Divine Beast about to take on the boss. I still need to uncover two other sections of the map and find a few more memories. I guess you can say I'm savoring this game like a juicy steak. Exploring every possible area and looking under every rock for Korok seeds. I'm still loving this game! |

Nice! I was really intimidated by the amount of Korok seeds in the game. I would look under pretty much every rock just like you are and I still barely made a dent in the collection hehe |

I finally did it after 91 hours! What an amazing game! I don't think I've ever spent so much time in a game like this before. When I reached the final scene I nearly shed a tear, like I was leaving Hyrule for good and never coming back. But I know I will be back. As you can see in the stats below I have a lot to still uncover. I know there are parts of Hyrule I never got around to visiting. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get around to completionating this one. It still blows my mind how massive this game is. My biggest issue was the lack of music in parts of the game but there were some great songs scattered throughout the game, especially some of the songs in the villages. If you have not played this game, you have to, it truly is a masterpiece! Completed 25.14% of the game.
