I have seen Leisure Suit Larry, so I know a bit of naughtiness is permitted, but I don't know if it is intended that the database should really include all the games in a collection, or only the ones most people would be okay putting on a shelf company might see. :-J I have a couple of seriously retro games that definitely go past that line, so I am not sure if I should post them for addition or not.

In a related question, if one marks a game as Hidden, is that from everyone, just others, or... what?

My collection also has some risque games, Nightsmaiden! Thus far, moho_00 has had no issue with allowing them to be added to the database. The one thing he does do, however, is crop a cover if it is showing nudity.

I don't know what "Hidden" does myself, but hopefully someone else can answer that for ya soon!

Regarding smutty games and such, if the cover is really blatant and simple cropping won't suffice to keep it clean I can always whip up a version with censor bars or something to that effect for the site. No biggie. Not sure about games with overly explicit language in the title though, you'll have to take that up with moho_00.

If a game is marked as hidden, it won't display by default when you look at your collection page unless you change the settings on the filters to show hidden games. Other people viewing your collection can also view your hidden titles if they do the same with the filter (I just tested it on moho_00's collection, he has 3 hidden games apparently!) Personally, I mainly use it to hide duplicate copies of games and reduce clutter, it's not so much for keeping anything a secret.

Thanks for the quick responses!

That's what I figured Hidden was for in the first place, but after thinking about it, I managed to confuse myself.

Might be good to have some sort of setting for "private" games. I can see people using it for all kinds of guilty pleasures, not just games with "adult situations". As it stands, I have all of my easily accessible games collected, so it's time for a lot of use for the current definition of "hidden". :-)

@dhobo is correct on how the hidden field works. You can also set your account up to be "friends only" (which is what it looks like @Nightsmaiden has done) or "private", which will both greatly reduce (or in the latter case, completely reduce) the amount of users that can view your collection.

As for explicit game names, we do have a few that are out there already, but I know there are some that are a lot worse :P I'm not a fan of censoring things at all, but it's something that has to be considered on a case-by-case basis (and luckily no censoring has occurred yet!)

Thanks for the very modulated response. :-) I will probably open up my collection for visibility once I have it all in there- right now, it is still only about half-complete, and I don't want to give an incorrect impression that I only play PC games.
