There are some things on Steam that are not games; I have some software for streaming, some for making games, and a ton of videos. Completionator imports or tries to import all of these each time I have it check for new games. Either a site-wide blacklist of things that are not games and thus should not be imported, or a per-user ignore list would be useful in not cluttering up a game collection with non-games.

Currently, there are two layers of Steam import ignoring that can occur.

Whenever a user runs the import, if there are any missing games (or whatever), I'm notified, which is how I know to map a Steam entry to a Completionator entry (which often requires a new game to be added here). Steam can be a bit of a mixed bag as far as what you get out of their API and sometimes the applications you mentioned (as well as videos and other random things) come across. If it's deemed to not be a game, it's placed on a global ignore list, which will prevent it from showing up on the import again (i.e. you won't see it in the "missing games" list when running the import) for anyone.

The second layer is user-specific, which is what the checkbox is when you run the import. If you choose to exclude a game from being imported into your library, the site will retain your selection for future imports. You can always revert the exclusion, which would, of course, add the game to your collection.

Awesome! I will clean out my non-games and use the clickboxes more assiduously. ^.^
