I never played Banjo-Kazooie back in the day when I was younger and recently tried it on XBO. I didn't care for it, dropping it after a few hours. I rented this one on a whim, and I'm liking it quite a bit. Maybe I needed the added polish this newer "clone" has in terms of graphics and increased stage size.

Currently I'm 7:15 into the game and have collected all of the pagies from the first three stages (non-expanded).

Noooooo! You didn't care for Banjo-Kazooie? That game is right in the running for my favorite game of all time. I picked up the N64 version shortly after it was released and I've finished it so many times over the years. I know you said you only played a few hours, but do you remember what level you made it to?

It was only the second or third level, I think. I have a feeling I would have liked it back in the N64 era, but it felt a bit rough now and I've never been a huge fan of collectathons.

This game might be a "gateway drug" and make me appreciate it more. Never know.

I hit some really nasty difficulty spikes in Yooka-Laylee last night. Very frustrating. I suppose I could have skipped over the three pagies that gave me trouble, but I didn't want to :P

Finished the game tonight. I was enjoying it until I hit some nasty difficulty spikes and bugs/poor performance toward the end of the game.

Not great but not terrible either.
