You should see a new section on your Profile page entitled Playlist. This allows you to enter as many games as you want to organize what you're playing or planning to play in the near future. If you're viewing your own profile, you should see an Edit button that will open up a modal to configure your playlist.

It's pretty simple, but all you do is type in your games and add them to the list. You can remove them at any time and also reorder them to set the priority levels. The interface is almost identical to the edit goals interface, for those familiar with that one. You are required to enter a platform for each game on your playlist. I considered making it optional, but I figured you most likely know what platform you're playing on and it opens the door for some future playthrough integration.

To accommodate this new section, I moved the Community Activity section over to the right-side and that may not be the best place for it. I may need to revisit some of the Profile layout since there have been a few changes since it was rebuilt.

Let me know what you think!

Shouldn't your backlogged games appear on the playlist? You know, because they're the ones you plan on playing.
It would be cool to at least have an option to set all your backlogged games to appear on your playlist, as they aren't featured anywhere else on your profile.

I also think something similar could be done with the games under the "Now Playing" tag and the profile section "Now Playing".

Saw this update on the Twitter feed not long ago. Love the idea! Going to get working on my list, too.

@dhobo Yep, that's why I think it should be an option because some would want to only have the 5-10 games they are most likely going to play next while others would want it to be all their backlogged games, those being just a fraction of their collection (as is my case).

I could see maybe adding a button to manually import whatever is in your backlog at the time, but it's not really set up to auto-sync with your backlog (not that anyone has suggested this, I'm just throwing it out there as an FYI). I didn't pursue that route because a lot of users have large backlogs, especially those that use the backlog option with the Steam import.

From a technical perspective, having a modal with a large number of rows that all have a dropdown with 50+ items in them will likely cause some issues, so I would need to change that up a bit somehow to really support large playlists. I actually considered limiting the number of games you could add (I was thinking like 25 or 50) since it's really meant for a small subset of your backlog (unless your backlog is already small, then it could be all of it hehe )

Just throwing my opinion in the ring: personally my entire backlog is way too overwhelming, so having a short 'playlist' of 10 or so games that I intend to get to soon is a very nice feature :D

I think you are right. Even tho I don't have as many games backlogged having +100 games on a list-type display wouldn't be that useful...
Going to my library and seeing my backlogged games in a grid-like view is useful enough but I would like to show them somewhere on my profile page automatically without having to manually select them one by one...

well, on my backlog are according to the collection page 4637 games so syncing that would not be a good idea.
But I really like the list! It allows me to queue up the games I like to play (although that can change dramatically over time)
I used to keep a stack with a list of games to play, but this is much prettier :) great job!
