I love discovering random games that I previously had no idea existed and GOG has released a few over the years that fit that criteria. Albion and Archimedean Dynasty are both great examples. Although they were both published by Blue Byte, they are not related at all and feature quite different gameplay, but that's okay! They both seem to be fondly remembered by fans and Albion in particular appears to be an underrated gem in the world of PC RPGs. To enter this giveaway, you'll need to try and find a game that you think nobody else has heard of. It can be for any platform and from any region, but to make things interesting, let's say it has to have had a physical release, so that means no digital-only games. Once you find a good one, post the name (and preferably, some information about it, the box art and / or a YouTube video) here! You'll need to post by 11:59:59 PM EST on 6/18/17 to be eligible for the giveaway. |

I don't know if it's a game that no one has heard of, but Hourai Gakuen no Bouken (AKA Adventures of Hourai High) is pretty obscure, I think. A Japanese game set in a Japanese school with fun humor and a job/class system. It's a very fun experience. |

Toy Bizarre - One of the games I used to have on my Commodore 64 that I had completely forgotten about until just over this past weekend when it randomly popped back into my head. Essentially a variation on the original Mario Bros. game |

I'm going to add a few to this thread since I enjoy the topic The first game that always comes to mind when thinking about truly obscure games is a game called Dawn of War. No, not that one, I'm talking about a game from the '90s. It's perhaps a little unfair to include this one since I don't think it was ever officially released, but it was made available on the internet, similar to how games like Thrill Kill ultimately reach an audience. This was a real-time strategy game with a prehistoric setting and as a huge dinosaur fan, I was REALLY looking forward to it. It was an obscure game during its initial development, so even then information was scarce, but today it's almost impossible. I'll post a screenshot or video if I find one. Here are some more that seem to be relatively unknown: BaitThis is essentially just a sokoban game, but with a worm instead of the typical warehouse employee. I recorded a video of it a while back and while it's rough around the edges, it's still sokoban
Big Scale RacingThis is a semi-realistic RC car racing game. It's nothing like the typical Re-Volt style games (although those are often quite fun as well). This is more of a sim, but it has tons of settings so you can play it more arcade style, if you prefer (which I do). It was a budget release, but is a surprisingly very good game. Flesh FeastBefore I had my first PC, I saw this game advertised in magazines and it seemed so amazing. It's an action strategy game where you control a group of survivors in the zombie apocalypse. Sure, we get truckloads of these games every day now, but back in the mid-90s, this stuff didn't really exist. Unfortunately, the game is actually quite awful and borderline unplayable. It's still a nice novelty to load up every few years, if only for nostalgia. Hero XThis is another budget release and from what I've gathered, it's like a Diablo game where you play a superhero that you customize. You walk around town and rescue people / stop crime, all the while leveling up your powers. I haven't actually played this one, but it's on my list to at least check out sometime. Get MedievalOne of the first games I played when I bought a PC in 1998 was Blood, which I still love to this day. Shortly after playing through Blood, Monolith released this game. I was never able to check it out back then, but I picked up a copy a few years ago and have had some time to play it. It's not just a Gauntlet clone, it basically is Gauntlet with snazzier graphics. Chasm: The RiftThis is another one of the first PC games I purchased and it's essentially just a Quake mod, but I had so much fun with it back in the day!

I am going to cheat a bit and will mention old czech ripoff. It never got international release so the video is in czech.
@moho; Heh, I know Get Medieval. My cosuin brought it one day and we were quite eager to play it. The only problem we had was that the game was in french and none of us understood single french word so we had no idea what to do and unfortunately were too lsot in it to preserve and play it properly.
