Something I noticed today, after swapping my profile image/avatar -- there's some server-side compression going on and it seems to be a bit too aggressive. I uploaded a 24kb JPG, not exactly a huge file, and I can see nasty JPG artifacts in the resulting image on my profile page.

Hmm...yeah, I've noticed certain avatars have looked kinda funky, more so that they seem to be getting squished a bit. The code should be resizing the images to a certain height / width and it does ensure they're .jpg files. Would you mind sending me an email and attach the image you tried to upload: info at completionator dot com I'll see what I can do!

Sure thing. In my instance, it doesn't seem to have messed with the dimensions/aspect ratio at all -- just the quality of the image. I'll send you an email with the original in a few minutes.
