I don't know if I'm alone in how I use Stacks, but I rarely create and forget about them. I use Stacks over time, to track things such as:
Unfortunately, this means that these stacks that are usually the more important ones to me get dropped off my "5 most recent" list in the Stacks / Posts widget. Could you possibly change the Stack sorting to be "5 most recently modified" instead of "5 most recently created"? Or maybe give the user the ability to change/choose the sort? Cheers, |

I could definitely implement something like this, but for me, I typically don't make any edits after I've published, aside from typos, so it might be kinda strange to see those float back up to the top. Do you use the My Stacks page much? I could potentially add a Last Modified column there since sorting is already built-in. |

Not really -- to be honest it's less about my easy access to them than wanting to share certain ones via the profile. Maybe instead, the better idea might be to allow the user to optionally pin entries on that list? |

I haven't personally used the stacks much yet...but over on another site, I used to make lists a lot and modify them over time - I have some that I've been adding to for the past 7 years. Not sure if the stacks here have the ability to be that large (some lists are over 700 games) but I like the option of a last modified column., if nothing else, for the ease of access that merph is talking about. |

I went ahead and added a last edit date for stacks. Anytime you make a change, such as editing the title / description, adding / removing a game, changing the sort order, etc, the date will be updated. Publishing a stack will not update the edit date. I added it as a column to the My Stacks page. This will go out with the next release. I love the idea of pinning stacks (and other things) and it's something we've talked about before, mostly in the context of rewards for Completionator points (kinda like how Steam lets you customize your profile). It's definitely something to keep in mind for future discussions in that area. For the more immediate future, I could definitely add a toggle / filter to the stacks section on the Profile page that lets you see the most recently published (default) or edited (using the new field) stacks (and articles). Other potential options are:
@psychoapeguy - There's currently no maximum (or minimum) amount of games that can be on a stack. It's only limited by your sanity and dexterity to reorder things, should the need arise |
