I wanted to give everyone a heads-up that the site will be taken offline for scheduled maintenance coming up in the near future. As of right now, it's scheduled to start at 12:00PM EST on 8/17/18. It's possible this might change, but I will update everyone if that happens. When I push out the next release this weekend, you will see a reminder in the header as well.

If you try to access the site while it's down, you will be presented with a reminder page. You will not be able to access any parts of the site or data while it's offline. All of the data will be restored on the new server so you will not lose anything.

The reason for this downtime is so I can move the website and database to a different host. This is for a variety of reasons, but primarily for these two:

• Performance - I've had all sorts of issues with performance on the database platform we're using, not just with this site, but others. In my limited testing on the new server, the site should see a boost in performance all around. It's hard to say for sure since only two people were hitting the new one at the same time, but I fully expect this to be a noticeable improvement.
• SSL - The way the current host is set up, the monthly costs would skyrocket just to have the option of having SSL. When the site comes back up, it will finally have SSN enabled and you should see a nice little green lock icon like many other websites!

Barring any unforeseen events, this should be a one-time thing. I apologize for the inconvenience, but hopefully everyone will be pleased with the improvements!
