One major thing I cant find a request for is PSN import... With the crazy number of games given since its inception, having to input one at a time is time consuming. SO psn import would BE much appreciated.

There is another collection "app" that has it

http://my-game-collection.tuyware.com/

might want to look into how they do it. ( plus what you could add to your site)

XBL would be nice to...:)

Based on what I've researched, it looks like Tuy (the developer) is actually using PSDLE to get the PSN data.

I've used PSDLE pretty extensively in the past for browsing through my own library and it's... okay. It does it's best to deal with Sony's messy categorization of items, but you end up with a lot of results listed as part of an "unknown" category, instead of games, addons, avatars, etc... The worst offenders were games that you would buy digitally which came as a demo + unlock key. They almost always end up listed incorrectly in some way via PSDLE.

The other wrinkle is that for PSDLE to work, you need to be logged into your PSN account before you can start scraping any data. Unlike steam import, which only requires your profile to be public in order to access the data needed.

All that said, it seems to be the go-to solution for any PSN scraping if it were ever to be considered for use here.

In the meantime, if you're looking for a good way to use Completionator's bulk import feature, you could always use PSDLE yourself and export each of your console lists to text. Probably should have mentioned that earlier, lol

It's how I did part of my PSN entry here since my list of digital playstation games dates back to early ps3 and psp era stuff.

thanks never heard of PSDLE, might consider it. still to make this site( which I think has a GREAT base/backbone) into THE premier VG collection site, Easy/seamless importation of big online collections would help.

Hello guys,

Apologies if this is considered necro-posting, but I wanted to add to this request initial request.
@Moho_00, do you plan/foresee adding some sort of import functionality for PSN? It would be great if it can at least sync our digital libraries that have trophies (PS3, PS Vita, PS4 and PS5). Syncing the number of trophies to the achievement field will be superb?

https://psnprofiles.com/ is doing some API call on demand (meaning you have to choose a profile and click "Update"), which connects to the PSN and fetches the information about games, trophies etc.

It would be great if we can "update" our profiles with both latest trophy statuses, but most importantly with the games present in our digital collections or at least ones we have registered trophies for.

This may greatly speed up adding collections and attract a lot more people from the various PlayStation communities.

Edit: GoG Galaxy 2 also attempted to sync games directly from PSN, although they couldn't add PS3 / Vita games. They do support pluggins though, so there is a lot of community work and information on various APIs that can be used.

If you see value in this idea, gog's github plugins may also give you a good idea on how to achieve this in a simpler way.

Importing from PSN would definitely be a cool addition, but it's not something I'm actively looking into at the moment.

I understand. Hopefully, you can put it somewhere in your list of features - it may attract new players to join and track their collections, especially if the tracking is easier.
