Anybody have one and used it? Looking for some feedback on some experiences with it. |

We have one. I think they're phasing it out from what I understand in favor of the Steam Link apps on various devices - https://store.steampowered.com/steamlink/about/ The Android Steam Link app, on the other hand, has worked perfectly the couple times I've used it, so hopefully they'll start releasing the app on more devices. Hope that helps :)

It does. I've actually got a setup that will enable me to use it via a wired connection, so that's why my interest has suddenly gone up. Have you tried any other controllers with it? I've got a Xbox 360 controller that I may try to use with it.

Yeah, we plug in wired knock-off 360 controllers (Rock Candy) and they work like a charm! I've even used a USB hub in one of the ports to get extra wired controllers hooked up. We've had local co-op of 4 going and it works great as long as it's etherneted.

I don't use mine a whole lot, but it always seems to work well when I do. I played most of Grandia II and all of Yooka-Laylee on it, so I had some extended individual sessions and it worked perfectly. I use a wireless Xbox 360 controller with the adapter plugged directly into the Steam Link itself. I run over a wired network connection though, so not sure how it would work over wi-fi (sounds like not very well).

I have one over here but don't use it pretty much. Last time was December but it started flawlessly and I was able to stream Assassin's Creed Origins via Wifi pretty OK. I had it running on a RTX 2070 at the time so perhaps hardware is an issue when streaming via wifi. I didn't notice much lag. I used an XONE wireless controller paired with the link. It primary use is with Steam games but you can also easily stream video through this so it is also basically a very cheap wireless hdmi receiver. I have one for 3 years now, and I think it's one of the best devices build I saw. Quality is really outstanding.

I have one, I haven't used it much but the times I have used it is great. As long as you're not playing stuff that requires next to no input latency then I'd skip the link but for games like Don't Starve it's fantastic. |
