Hey everyone, something that we've discussed on here before is having a gaming night of sorts with the Completionator community. I wanted to gauge interest to see if anyone out there would want to participate in such an event. This would be a very informal thing where we basically meet up on Discord and play some games on Steam (since it's the easiest option). If we can get a little group together, we should try and pick a Saturday (?) evening that works best for everyone. I know we're in different timezones, but hopefully we can come up with something if there is enough interest out there. This could also double as a way to talk about Completionator, talk through feedback, answer questions, etc

I'm interested, but not sure if my schedule would let me participate. Is there a Discord? I would love to get invited, if possible. |

Sounds interesting. I can't guarantee, but will try my best to take part. I'll even register myself in Discord finally for that purpose (: |

It sounds like we have enough interest out there to give this a shot! I know it will be tough to find a date / time that will work for everyone, so I think the first step should be to just pick something and see how it goes. If it works out, we can always do it again (perhaps in a different time slot). That being said, I will propose next weekend, 7/6/19 at 8:00pm EST. I know for those in the USA that it's on the heels of a holiday so some of you all may have plans that evening. If there isn't enough participation, I would offer up 7/20/19 at 8:00pm EST as an alternative. If you think you can make it on 7/6, please let me know and with enough response, we'll lock it in! |

I'm available for either, as far as I know. But my plans tend to change out of my control at the last second, so count me as half a person, lol |

I should be able to make either. Are there any particular games in mind? |

I hope we all have enough game cross over to be able to connect ;) :D |

The easiest option I can think of is Team Fortress 2 since it's free and many have likely played it before. Other options that come to mind that are easy to jump into (and on sale!):

The 6th works for me, unfortunately, I don't own any of those games lol. |

You at least own TF2 since it's free |

I'm down for it if you guys are. I say we all meet up around 8:00pm EST on Discord in the "Completionator" channel. Assuming we have a group together, let the gaming commence! We'll roll with TF2 unless someone can come up with a better option |

Scratch that, site doesn't want to work for me now. There are different ones that are supposed to list games you have in common, half of them seem to be dead...

Just wanted to collate and post moho_00's earlier suggestions and the potential gaming ideas we talked about towards the end of our Castle Crashers gaming session tonight. Free games work great since anyone can jump on board, cheap games are fairly accessible if the freebies don't appeal, and there are others that while more costly, could be viable if enough people already own it (or are willing to buy it, especially if it's on sale) Freebies:
Cheapies:
Games that could be good if/when on sale:
There are loads of others out there that could be added to the list, so if there's something out there you think would be a lot of fun to play feel free to make some suggestions. On a related note, I wonder if there'd be much interest on this site and it's community for things like seeking out players for co-op games. Not necessarily a big "gaming night" group event, but just people looking for a partner in crime for specific titles. That kind of thing.
