As we say goodbye to 2019, I thought we'd have a few giveaways!

First up, we have classic JRPG Grandia HD on Steam. I've had this one on PS1 for about 20 years now and I've never managed to get anywhere in it, even though I looooved Grandia II on Dreamcast. I just picked up the HD version on Steam, so we'll see if I can get into it now.

Chrono Cross would make my whole life complete. I would also second anyone who put(s) Skies of Arcadia.

We need a Wild Arms HD Remaster pronto

I would love to see a remaster of The Thousand Year Door since Nintendo hasn't felt like emulating or remastering Gamecube games

Since Final Fantasy VII is getting the treatment, and many other people have commented with some other pet choices, I'd have to say The Legend of Dragoon could really use a fresh coat of paint. Or Xenogears if they also did the second disc properly.

Mother 1, 2, and 3 also Earthbound and possibly a sequel

Planescape: Torment. It did get a re-release but not much was changed. Fabulous game, it'd be great to introduce it to more people. That said, I would like to see nearly everything other folks have already mentioned. :)

Vagrant Story would be neat!

I would LOVE to see Golden Sun receive an HD version (combined with the second one as one full adventure would be awesome). That game had some amazing visuals for a GBA game, would be crazy nice to see it in some HD version, maybe a switch or 3DS version. Just please not a mobile port unless they decide to support controllers at least (or Shield TV).

This is a pipe dream, but I'd love to have Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes Of Light spruced up for modern consoles. That game was great. My first thought was Lunar 1 & 2, but I'm pretty sure GungHo's hinting at those two being in the works.

The original Rygar for the NES. Awesome game and took some skill and patience to beat it.

There are quite a few RPGs I'd like to see in HD (and on PC too, preferably). I feel I have to agree with Chrono Cross/Xenogears/Skies of Arcadia/Xenosaga above, great games with great music (especially Chrono Cross). I feel I've become a bit of a quality snob lately, and some games from the PS2 era and earlier seem to have more noticeable graphical/audio/whatever limitations. Rogue Galaxy would be pretty nice along with some mechanics and quality of life upgrades, as well as Dark Cloud 2 and perhaps even Graffiti Kingdom. Wild Arms 1 through 5 would be nice, but especially 1 through 3, as 1 and 2 have graphical limitations and translation issues, and 3 has some audio quality issues with certain tracks (hurting a pretty good soundtrack IMO). Wild Arms 4 and 5 could probably just do with some visual upgrades, from what I've seen. The Phantasy Star series would benefit from HD as well, especially Phantasy Star Online and the first Phantasy Star. Jade Cocoon's also a pretty cool game that would look better in HD.

Going farther back, there's the Quintet trio (Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma), which suffer from translation issues and censorship. Terranigma hasn't even been officially released worldwide yet, so it definitely would be a plus to have the three available together. Live-A-Live could use some polish, too, but I'm slightly worried it could hurt the 90's Squaresoft feel. Along the Squaresoft line, Parasite Eve is a very good candidate for HD, with great music and an interesting setting. Brave Fencer Musashi and Musashi Samurai Legend may also look (and sound) pretty cool in HD. I may be misremembering, but I think Lufia & the Fortress of Doom also has audio issues and a nice soundtrack, so I guess that's a good candidate too (they'd probably have to change the difficulty, though, as the game's kind of ridiculous in places, IIRC).

I guess I could also add Mega Man Battle Network 1-6 to the list; all six games are pretty well received and are pretty fun even if I'm not that great at them. The Mega Man Legends games might look good with some visual sprucing up, too. Mega Man X Command Mission was also pretty fun. The Mana games have seen some remasters lately, so maybe we'll also see Legend of Mana in HD, too.

I guess I could say: "Almost every important RPG in the last 30 years" ?

Sorry for the long post, things just came out as I thought of them.

I know it was literally just revealed to be not happening, but man would I love a Xenosaga HD remake. Especially if it included Xenogears.

Another series I'd love to see remastered in HD would be the Drakengard series. Considering how well Nier is being received at this point, I think it'd be foolish to continue throwing money at Tokyo RPG Factory to churn out mediocre RPGs when SE is sitting on some cash printers.

Two series I'd love to see brought to newer hardware but don't think the graphics need improving on would be the Mother series and the Shin Megami Tensei series (1, 2, and If...) as I keep wanting to dive back into these series but would love to either trophy hunt for them or at least play them conveniently on modern hardware.

I would like to see Panzer Dragoon Saga or Shining force 3 HD with all 3 scenarios

Legend of Dragoon anyone? I can't be the only one here, right?

For me, it's many things. Legend of Dragoon Saga RPG HD, a new Suikoden game or HD collection of the others, and of course; Shadow Hearts HD, could make it a trilogy or a quad if you include the PS1 game.
