Hello everyone, with today's release you should now see a new menu item under Browse Database called Top Rated Games. We've been piloting this one for Patreon backers for a few months now, but it's ready to roll! This page displays a list of the top 100 games, based on user ratings here on Completionator.

The logic for ranking the games is (slightly) more complex than just averaging the ratings, so you might notice certain games are omitted from the list. Generally speaking, there is a minimum number of ratings that a game needs before it becomes eligible. Also, while ratings are updated in real-time, rankings are not. But rest assured, they are updated daily!

I must confess that this page was mostly a "fun to build" task for me that doesn't provide a ton of value in terms of collecting / backlogging, but I hope some out there enjoy it

I dig it a lot. I have some friends that are obsessed with the recent Persona games, and now I know they're not alone.

I guess I don't explore this site enough because I'm just realizing this was added now. Love that this has been added. Thanks for all your hard work on this site moho_00

Just a heads-up that I've switched over this particular report to use a weighted average. This has caused a little bit of shuffling, but it should be a stronger representation of the top-rated games here on Completionator. The rating score you see on this page WILL be different than what you see elsewhere on the site since those use normal / average scores. I'm modeling this approach after IMDB, but certainly open to feedback.

I don't see Fester's Quest anywhere in that list.

I wish I could fix that one
