Anyone try out the demo yet? I played it this evening and thought it was really fun. The combat took a bit for me to get used to, but I was really enjoying it by the time it ended. I wasn't a huge fan of the other real-time Final Fantasy battle systems and I'm glad it seems like I'm going to have fun with it.

I tried it out last night as well! The graphics are amazing and it's not such a huge departure from the original game in terms of overall set design/concept so it still triggers that nostalgia.

That said, I wasn't the biggest fan of the combat system. Especially after putting in hundreds of hours into ff15 over the past couple of years, it just feels like a weird half-measure between the classic ATB system and the real time combat of ff15. I kinda wish they'd opted to go all the way in one direction or the other.

Or maybe it just needs more refinement to make the two systems work together a bit better.

Either way. Oodles of fun to be had and I can't wait until they release some kind of box set with the entire remake for ps5 (hopefully). I'm gonna have a real hard time holding out until then.

I didn't realize there was even a demo. I'm going to give it a shot. I've never played any of the FF games but this one looks interesting and I want to see what everyone is talking about.
