Currently we have the ability to pick only three Xbox providers: Games with Gold Is it possible to have simply 'Xbox Store' added to this list? For digital purchases on Xbox One, 'Xbox Live Arcade' is no longer relevant as this was a very specified sub-set of (generally) online-only releases for the Xbox 360. When I enter I game such as Control bought on the Xbox store it doesn't really apply to any of the three options above. |

Hmm...I think you're right, we need a new option there. It looks like the store is actually called the Microsoft Store now though? We have one of those on here already, but it's not associated with Xbox One at the moment. |

Yes I agree, I've brought this issue up before. Live Arcade doesn't really fit to purchasing a full game such as Control or Call of Duty. Even when selecting Xbox 360 as the platform we have the Games on Demand option which would apply to larger full scale games. Microsoft Store works for me. |

And if they decide to change the name of the store slightly a few more times, Microsoft Store will at least continue to describe it. :D |

Any updated thoughts and having Microsoft Store added for games bought on Xbox One, rather than using Xbox Live Arcade? |

Xbox One and Xbox Series X should now have the option of using Microsoft Store. Speaking of the new hardware, I'm wondering if we should rename "Xbox Series X" to "Xbox Series X|S". Surely Microsoft won't be releasing games exclusively for "X" (or "S"), right? |

@moho_00 - Thanks! I would assume anything on the X works on the S and vice versa. So probably ok to make that change. Only exclusivity I could see is that it works on X (and S) but not One.

Not until the Series S starts struggling to play more demanding next gen games at least, but I'd humour them and say it'll work. :P |

I agree with the above, I would consider Xbox Series X|S to be a single platform for the sake of this. If it was Nintendo/Sony I could potentially seeing them doing games that only run on the Series X (like Nintendo's half-dozen games that were 'New 3DS only') but I don't see Microsoft going that route, with all their talk about inclusivity etc. |

Maybe with first-party titles, but MS doesn't make every game for xbox. Third party publishers are the ones where I suspect down the road might not always bother tuning for a Series S version of their game, though it will heavily depend on install base. Besides, I don't see it happening for years any way. More of a future speculation. |

Microsoft have officially stated this generation's platform is just 'Xbox', but that doesn't really help when we already have the OG Xbox called 'Xbox'. |
