Thanks for accepting this bounty! Here you can talk with other bounty hunters as you progress through the game and keep everyone up to date on your progress.

DuckTales for NES, huh? It seems like Completionator keeps reading my thoughts.
Should I give you a little backstory on the completion as I usually do?

I don't know if anybody here remembers it, but in the 2010s, there was such a thing called Retro Game Gauntlet. It was a cozy little challenge that inspired gamers to complete random retro games, one for each platform moving from the oldest ones towards the 6th generation, 2013-2014 was the period in which I had the most interest in this style of gaming. When I first heard about the RGG, me and my friends, we decided that we just couldn't stay on the outside.
But then, unfortunately, some issues with my emulators showed themselves and then, there were events in my life that made me concentrate on different gaming styles - sadly, I decided to give up on the Retro Game Gauntlet for some time. DuckTales for NES was the game that I stopped the challenge on.
Years went by, and not only did I remember about RGG and some other of my plans on retro gaming, but I also began to practice a more careful and thoughtful approach to my videogame completions and started working diligently on my backlog (thanks to this wonderful platform). It should not come as a surprise that I eventually thought about the unfinished DuckTales and some other retro console games as well. Seeing that title in this month's Completionator bounties has pretty much left me with no other choice.
Yes, I know that I have just one week to beat the game now, but I think I can handle this. Yeah, I think I will accept this bounty. I'm glad that these things help me reach out for something really interesting in my backlog sometimes.

Just, please, let me know if there may be something wrong with completing the Bounty game using an emulator (without cheating, of course) because that's how I want to do it. Thanks!

I haven't heard of Retro Game Gauntlet, but I love the idea. I've had a thing that I refer to as "Through the Ages", which is basically one game per platform that I own in chronological order. I never actually tried to complete this particular challenge, but it's something I've thought about

There are no rules against emulators and in fact, DuckTales is part of The Disney Afternoon Collection, which as far as I know is an emulated version of it (and a few others) for modern platforms.

Yeah, the strict chronological order might add another interesting twist to this concept, I can see it. Not to mention that RGG used to give its participants totally random titles to beat, not only from their collections. That's why it involved using emulators more often than not.

Thanks for some useful information, moho_00!
I'm about to start completing the bounty. I will come back with a completion time hopefully.

d.o.n.e.
Once I got familiar with all of the stages and found most of their shortcuts, beating the game didn't take much time at all. My completion time is 35 minutes and the difficulty was set to Normal.
This proved to be quite a challenging game, but I was ready for something even harder and longer, to be honest. DuckTales is a bit unlike most of the platformers I really enjoy (like Super Mario and Mega Man series) but I still had a lot of fun completing it. Not to mention, it was a little strange to come back to this genre after such a long break in the first place. It's a really good game, definitely worth checking, and I'm glad that there was a Bounty that made me revisit it once again. Looking forward to participating in some more of them in the future! Or maybe I should even consider returning to the long-forgotten Retro Game Gauntlet..?
