I found that there was a thread or 2 about this same question from back in 2018, but thought I'd ask again incase things have changed. I was wondering if wishlists could be updated automatically when adding a game to the collection - ie. when I add a game to my collection, the entry for it in the wishlist is automatically removed. One concern previously brought up is that due to wishlists being more 'generic' (not requiring platforms and such), it may be difficult to draw the link between a wishlist and collection entry, and thus may result in some unexpected removals. My suggestion for this is what if it was only applied if the platform matches, otherwise a notification may pop up saying the wishlist entry was not removed due to discrepancies, or alternatively, a checkbox option in settings to confirm whether each user wants the automation or not. Another alternative may be to have a secondary form when adding an entry to the collection, showing any wishlist entries with the matching game, and allowing the user to select any that want to be removed. While this may still be manual, I think it would still improve user-friendliness as it reduces the time to perform the action from the current process (ie. switching between pages, searching for the game, confirming the delete action). Also another old thread was asking specifically about this occurring when adding to collection from the wishlist page, but I think it would be a nice quality of life benefit to have something similar occur when adding a game in general, ie. from search. Finally, a personal note: |

I added a new option when adding game to your collection (from anywhere) that will remove any Wish List items that "match". This option is on by default, but you can uncheck it, of course. The Wish List items must match the game, platform, region, format (digital or physical), and edition. As long as they all match, then it will remove the item(s) from your Wish List. It will also just ignore things if they're not applicable, meaning if you don't enter an edition or what have you. I also modified the Add to Collection button on the Wish List page itself to auto-populate the region, format, and edition fields. It was previously only setting the platform. And thank you for the kind words. I always enjoy hearing that the site has helped others out there |

Thank you, but unfortunately I can't see the removing matching wishlist items option working. I don't see the any checked option itself and when I check my wishlist after adding it does not remove anything. Incase it matters I am searching by name in browse database, then using 'quick add' to add to my collection. I can see that the add to collection from the wishlist page does autofill the region and format fields, but it also does not remove the game from the wishlist once added to collcetion. Are these changes that were not implemented yet and will be coming in the future or am I misunderstanding something? |

The changes have not been pushed out just yet, but they'll be in the next release. I see now that I failed to mention that in my previous post, sorry for the confusion!
